SNOW! It has been 90 here of late so it is hard to fathom, though it is cooling down for the weekend (just in time for DSD's visit of course). When you guys make a decision you jump into it quickly! If your real estate market is anything like Massachusetts or Florida it will go fast. And how smart of you to rent and get the "lay of the land".

My entire condo was cleaned stem to stern yesterday (all 1200 square feet, LOL). It is the last total cleaning until I leave for Cape Cod since I will only be here about 2.5 weeks more (half the next 5 weeks will be at Mike's). Of course I take care of bathrooms and kitchen as well as having my iRobot run around in between. My right arm (scrubbing arm) and back are hurting but I do love having a thoroughly clean place. Assuming I move to Mikes full time next season I think we will need a regular housekeeper. He has 1600 square feet and I don't want to deal with it.

Today I am going with my women friends for coffee outside, beach for a few hours (90 again today), then dinner at old friends of Mike. These are people he reconnected with recently and I really like. Tomorrow we pack up and drive to Mike's. It will be a longer spell than previously so I have to pack a lot more clothing. A pain, but at least I have my master packing list.

Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Good morning ladies.

Ick, snow. I think we're done with it. At least nothing substantial. But Oklahoma weather is nothing if not unpredictable. It's now "tornado season."

156-157ish. So it's true. The gain is legit. Ugh. And I actually have to do something conscious to move it back downward.

We're going to start doing better. Probably after Easter, ha!

I've been a little worried about my mom. Her generic heart and lung scan gave her an alarmingly high heart score. Which got her straight into the cardiologist and going for an ultrasound in a couple weeks. I'm trying to be grateful that she had the test and it pointed out a problem but it sure scares me.

We spent all weekend cleaning up the backyard trying to get ready for springtime. Easter for once looks to be beautiful. All next week is high 70s and low 80s. Wow. I don't think I've ever been so happy to have Easter. We're doing alllll the Easter things! As I'm getting older I so appreciate the strong traditions my grandparents and parents created for me. I almost feel like I could go on a trip to this destination in time. Easter bunny pictures were a must and I was delighted with how they turned out. The girls waved palm branches last weekend in service. There was already a little friend group egg hunt and this weekend there will be the church egg hunt. I plan to dye Easter eggs while the cousins are here on Friday. Of course bunny baskets, Easter dresses and church, and a meal at Mimi's house. Gosh I miss my grandmother. But so so grateful for the happy memories.

Weight 185.8. Bouncing around.

Heading out for a hike later this morning with a friend and maybe lunch out. If I were smart, I would do my frantic cleaning for the cleaning people today instead of tomorrow morning. But my procrastination side is stronger than my smart side! It always amazes me when I write here about the cleaning people coming that two weeks have passed. Life sure goes by fast.

I got my car back. They did a great job! No sign of any scratches.

I think that's all I have. Dull as oats!

Good Morning All

Happily working from the farm after getting up here just after 11.30pm last night. It was a long drive. I was super tired but we made it. The interview went well and I hope to hear good news next week. Its been a long time since I interviewed but I think went well. Its so hard to tell..... They had a previous lady in before me and I saw her walk out of the door as she finished her interview. The job market is very hard atm - so many people are out of work. So time will tell I guess.......

Today is just work and then Mum and I will go and do the grocery shop for our time up here. Dinner is simple. I pulled out some cooked sliced Rib Eye Beef and will make a gravy, add Sweet potato wedges and steamed veggies then that will be dinner. An early night is in order I think for me. I feel worn out

At least its the last day of the working week. Im looking forward to a couple of days off from work. The new bull Jack comes tommorrow - so a lot of our day will be spent checking him as I have no idea what he is like on fences etc. The electric fences are working very well - having been checked last weekend so if he doesnt have nice manners he will get a good whack from them. Lessons learnt very quickly indeed

Hope you all have a great evening
