Well it is my 5th surgiversary today and I did not weigh. Not after my eating this past week. But I am still in a 2 piece at the beach - more curvy than I like but not horrible. I thank god every day for my VSG. I can't imagine what my weight and health would be like had I not had it. And honestly meeting a new guy would have likely been tougher, not just because of what I looked like but my ability to be active was so limited before due to constantly sore knees, back and general tiredness.
So 3 loads of laundry got done this morning and my little iRobot zoomed around. I need to do some dusting and other surface cleaning this week before we leave for Mike's on Thursday. I won't be back for 2.5 weeks when my SILs visit so I need to get it in shape.
But this afternoon we are back at the beach as it will be 90 again today. There is a great breeze at the ocean which mitigates it but not at the house.
I received a very touching Thank You note from DS about my trip home for his birthday. Warms my heart.
Not much else to report -- Diane C, I hope you packed 2 suits for the reason expressed by Diane S. Not much worse than trying to put a wet bathing suit on!
Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Happy Surgiversary, Liz! A two-piece is awesome. Hope you're having fun, DD. Peps, good job at the dog show! Sorry I couldn't get my act together to meet up with you! Shirl, how are you? DianeO, having a good time in SC?
Weight 186. Yesterday's up erased.
Another early to bed evening last night. Works for me. It's supposed to be in the mid 80s here today. Very pretty outside at the moment, but I'm inside watching Princess Bride.
Today is day 5 of lower calories. Seems to be working. 1400 calories doesn't buy you much in a day. And I don't eat breakfast. But I do like snacking - it makes me feel like I'm getting away with something. Snacking feels like "freedom to eat" to me. My day seems to be split between 100 calories for coffee and additions (sugar free creamer, collagen, benefiber) in the am, 400 calories each for lunch and dinner, and 500 for snacks, usually eaten between after lunch and around dinner.
Anyway, back to my movie! Have good days, all!
1400 calories makes me envious - I maintain around 1350 and have to drop to 800 to lose. Not much wiggle room!

Hello all ! DC and I tried to do an unplugged two weeks and were fairly successful. Our first and second weeks ended with tornado watches but we had some great weather upper 70s to mid 80s. Sadie and Atlas LOVED swimming in the ocean ! Groomer for sure this week, to make sure ALL the salt and sand are gone. When we left, there was still some snow in our yard, but now we have excellent mud potential... trading sand and salt for mud !
I DO NOT know how this escaped me, but as we were looking at houses in Pawley's Island, I was made aware that NYS Pensions are taxed by SC. I only pay Federal tax on my NYS Pension in NY. There are a handful of warmer states that DO NOT tax NYS Pensions : Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas.
I pretty much ate and drank what I wanted, within reason. We consistently ate our main meal mid-day and healthy snacked for supper. We did lots of walking and I'll weigh in tomorrow.
I'll catch up with posts I missed. Love to you all.

Good Morning All
Start of another working week for me. Blech just blech. Still nothing concrete re offers - apparently they are still negotiating. Im just weary and exceptionally demotivated. Very unlike me.
Today is work then I will pick up DH from the train station and we will go see our grandsons. That should cheer me up a little. Tommorrow would have been my Dads 80th birthday. Cant believe he will have been gone 13 years. Taking mum to the cemetry when I finish work.
Enjoy being at the farm Fri-Sun. Got lots done. We are taking my Mum up Wed night after work for the Easter break. Have a new Bull coming to stay with our mummas for a couple of months so I will stay on to make sure he respects the fences etc etc
Liz - Happy Surgiversary. You look great and shine with happiness :)
DD - Hope you have a great trip to Vegas. Thats some place. We loved experiencing it

Greetings All
No excitement here. I ran a few errands and checked the free pantry. It had boxes of dry lasagne noodles and bags of dried beans. Not exactly what a person with no kitchen could use. So I went to the discount store and picked up ready to eat stuff. I must say I enjoy that store because there are always some amusing people there. Like these two old ladies shopping and one said " Honey I just wanna go and smell them donuts" and the other says "darlin' don't be doing that cuz' you will be inhaling them" or some such. Also lengthy discussions over the merits of a large can of tomato sauce.
DD hope my comment about stuffing self into wet bathing suit did not offend. Its just kind of how I think about such stuff.
Tesla is getting bigger. Due April 16. Already getting puppy inquiries even though I have not shared the info. The owner of daddy dog is a well known breeder so I guess she gets inquiries all the time.
diane O glad you got away and had some R and R.
Second shot in a week. My friend who has had both says she feels like a "liberated woman"!
Cecily it seems like all newer houses are designed for weight gain - they all have the kitchen going right into the tv-lay around room so its a speedway from fridge to couch. Old homes have formal kitchens and dining rooms. Next they will build a fridge that is in the floor and rises up upon the push of a button so you don't have to leave the couch.
Oh well, time to feed dogs including miss pregnant ***** I bought some Fresh Pet dog food yesterday. They will not touch it on a bet. It actually smells pretty good but no I am not going to eat it.
Cheers all. Diane S

They already make a coffee table with a built in fridge! https://www.homary.com/white-champagne-smart-coffee-table-wi th-fridge-and-storage.html?sel=5519&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0oCDBhCPAR IsAII3C_F4SsAzr9b_zuSeGw7nfF_85QVKgoNyvqTCUR7aLd3-elx7sbOaAT EaAhXYEALw_wcB
How lazy do you have to be to think that's a great idea?
