Today will be day 2 of being fully a beach bum. Saturday-Monday were cloudy days and Tuesday we had to leave the beach mid-afternoon to visit friends 1/2 hour away. Yesterday we were on the beach by late morning after our walk and stayed until late afternoon when we cleaned up and went to a bar. Dinner was an appetizer as I couldn't eat more, which was a good thing. Today we have a late reservation at 8 pm at a nice steak place.
Nothing much else happening. Have a great, safe and healthy Thursday.

Nothing else happening but being a beach bum sounds like the perfect day.
Cecily, your Dad's departure from your childhood home has to be bittersweet. You're ready to move on, but having to let go in order to move towards your new vision of your life has to tug at the heart.
When my in laws both passed away when my husband was in his early 30s, his sister bought the family home and lived in it for 20 more years. There came a time when she moved on and the house was sold. We live about 6miles away, and even now DH drives by it once in awhile. He rarely goes to the cemetery anymore, I think driving past the house and through his old neighborhood is more meaningful to him.
Peps I can't believe the weather you've encountered! What the heck. Spring snow is a tricky beast.
I saw my lymphedema therapist today, and showed him what I was fitted for yesterday. He said they're not really going to do me any good, not enough compression. He wants me to return them and try again. Sigh. Now that I know what won't work, I might be able to buy something on my own, but I don't know if insurance will pay for it, if I can submit my receipts. I could try going back for another fitting at the breast surgery store...
Good news, he said being submerged in water, and swimming are excellent treatments for the type of lymphedema I have. All the more reason to go to Las Vegas and veg out at the pools :)
Excellent!!!

Of course when I see this type of gain, my brain says "they're going to take the food!!! HURRY EAT IT NOW!!!!" So trying not to "overcorrect." I mean obviously I've eaten too much between the holidays and numerous travels. I do think a couple pounds are legit and a couple are probably going away on their own when I'm not still eating this way.
We had our second dose vaccine on Tuesday. I felt fine. Arm didn't hurt. But today I'm feeling quite tired. Unsure if it could be related almost 48 hours on.
Oklahoma will be opening vaccines to everyone. I am so impressed with how well this is going. Our local mask mandate has expired and Okc is taking it up early next week. Things seem to be going back to normal and for me that cannot happen quickly enough!
Well, today isn't off to a good start. Pumpkin bread for breakfast. Followed by HANDFULS of wheat thins. Wheat thins are my achilles heel. They aren't even that great. Which is probably why I feel like they must be *healthy*.
Oh yeah, I don't know if this showed up on my facebook, but my sister matched with her residency program in Internal medicine. So happy for her!!

Weight 189.2. Well this is just getting annoying.
I cut my daily intake by 200 calories starting yesterday, went to Pilates class, walked 3 miles and gained almost a pound. I know it's not fat, but good grief. Though I've been up and down, I weigh about the same as on February 17th. Grr.
Today I am taking my car in to have some scratches repaired that were on my car when I bought it. Then I am going for a beach walk with a friend.
Enjoy your days!
