Hi all from Siesta Key Florida! We had a cloudy, windy start to the week but it finally cleared and was a great beach day yesterday. Justice didn't mind the prior days because he was out on the deck with us (see picture below taken a few minutes ago while drinking coffee). He just stretched out on the deck here and there while we read.

Shirl, best of luck in the negotiations. I think they will want to give you what you need if they can. Cecily, yes the complications of losing weight and maintaining never change. I have to figure that out with a functional partner too and stop acting like I am on vacation all the time. Congratulations on your show Devon! I'm glad Goat has been working out well for you. Diane C, I'm sure retirement thoughts will continue to percolate for your DH. Funny but I was just thinking last night that we rarely feel prepared for it but somehow it works out well for most of us. Diane S., so there are puppies coming! How exciting! And Diane M, I hope your vacation is fabulously relaxing!

Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Hi everyone! Today I an using sick time this afternoon for two medical appointments. One, to be fitted with a compression garment to address the lymphoma in my breast, armpit and two, my 2nd vaccine!

My sil looked better than I expected. She has surgery mid April. Can't wait until all this is behind her. We decided to order Panera for dinner. There was discussion about getting cookies. This is what happens when there are several people in the mix. No cookies were purchased. DD can have indulgences and still lose weight slowly. She understands that I cannot.

Well, off to webex with one of my students.

Weight 188.4. 3 mile walk in the evening.

DD, you gave me a lightbulb moment. Maybe it's time to lower my calories a little bit. Waaaah! But I do weigh less and require less.

This morning my friend sent me a Bloomberg article about a bunch of hand sanitizers sold early in the pandemic that contain dangerously high levels of cancer-causing benzene. The one we both bought from Amazon was top of the list! Into the tra**** went, but jeez. When the thing you were using to protect your health is trying to kill you another way...

Today I have Pilates. My dad is flying back to Michigan as we speak, so the house is 100% not ours anymore. A sad day.

Hope you all have a good day!

Well shoot, I was kind of excited about being fit for a compression bra. Once I was there, I was also going to get fit for a regular bra, insurance pays for the compression bra and I would pay for the other out of pocket. What a treat to finally have a bra that really fit right. Nope. Anytime we got the band right, the cups weren't big enough. So I left with a compression bra that I don't think compresses enough because the band is too big. So we layered on a compression tank, which helped give some more compression, but I don't think it goes far enough into my armpit. I should have walked around the store, because when I wore it home, I discovered there's not enough support, there is so much movement and cleavage, I can't possibly wear either or in combination to school. I know there are bigger problems in the world, but really, even at a specialty store that deals with post surgical boobs, there isn't an option for me. Sigh.

Well this stinks! Maybe you need to go somewhere else to find a proper fitting compression bra? Or maybe they need to order your size? How can it be so difficult?

Congratulations on the second vaccine. I hope you feel okay today.

On the upside, I forgot to add I took my bouncy cleavage to the vaccination center and got my 2nd shot on the way home. I am feeling super sleepy, is it just normal, or is it the vaccine side effects. I really need to be in online school tomorrow since its the last day of the quarter, so hopefully I don't have much of a reaction. But yeah!!! Vaccinated!!!!
