Back in my usual haunts for a couple of days. Justice was thrilled to be home and he slept like a log last night. I did enjoy seeing him on the cams and he certainly didn't seem stressed, but there is no place like home (especially for our pets)!
But my back didn't like returning to my bed. I had been thinking that if I retained this place I needed to replace the mattress and that was reiterated this morning. I like to sleep on my back but after a night of doing so here my lower back is killing me. Hopefully the bed in Siesta Key will be supportive.
So far, I am not liking Daylight Savings Time. It is 7:30 and just getting light. I always hate the time change. Enough complaining!
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Good morning, ya'll ! Kind of bumpy landing here, as DC' aunt drove to visit from the moment we arrived until yesterday. She is 75 and didn't t get "getting together". We haven't seen her since well before Covid, and she IS a wonderful person. The severe weather is headed our way this be afternoon, with a moderate chance of F 2+ tornadoes. It is 70 and rising, and the energy is building. Pictures to come.

Weight 188.4. Two mile walk, Pilates class (thinking water retention)
Holy sore muscles, Batman! I used to go to a mat Pilates class pre-Covid. The teacher who is wonderful started doing it on Zoom, but I was feeling too fat to roll around on camera, so didn't go. Anyway, my friend who moved to the UK still attends and has been pushing me to start up again. Guilt works wonders on me, so I finally went yesterday. Oh my heavens, every muscle in my body other than my calves and forearms is SORE! She's doing it every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If I knew what was good for me, I'd go every time...
Today is "scramble to pick up the house for the cleaning people" day and then I'm heading out to my dad's to show him my car and have sushi with them and some friends of theirs (the brother of the wife trained is a sushi chef from Japan and is amazingly gifted).
I should go get scrambling...
Good Morning from my happy place
Got here late Wednesday and am loving the peace and quiet. Worked yesterday then hopped on the mower - was a dusty few hours - finished with a shower.
Had an amazing eye fillet steak - well DH and I shared one - nothing like homegrown meat
Today will be work and then a trip into town to get fuel containers filled, buy a few parts for the slasher and some fruit and veg. Making a meal for our close friends - their daughter came off a horse at speed yesterday afternoon and is in hospital with a bunch of fractures - between her shoulder blades and around her spine. Thankfully she didnt hit her head.

Hi all, back from a "transition day" at school. Awesome to see my coworkers in person, instead of a screen. Well, most of them, they're are always a few people who need to stir the pot, but best to ignore them and not feed the beast.
The covid infection numbers are starting to creep up again, despite our vaccinations. Although we are preparing to start in person with all students, not hybrid, one has to wonder, what's going to happen after spring break? Lots of people traveling, including me, so I have no moral high ground. I hope we won't all have to go back to quarantine a few weeks after starting , our 4th first day of school.
The sun is shining, the snow is melting, I moved my body all over that big, big school. All moving in the right direction.
