Greetings all
I want to be Liz when I grow up. Traveling from Forida key to key. The good life.
All things considered, life is pretty good here. We got our first Pfiser shot yesterday. Virtually painless. I was amazed since my last flu shot was a killer . Worst part was getting up early and waiting in line 20 min which was not bad. However it was not raining as it is today and it would have been miserable standing outside. I am always amazed at the schools here in northern cal - classrooms just open to the outside and the hallways are just roofs over a sidewalk with open sides. Being from the midwest, our schools had miles of halls and you were indoors completely all day except for those times of year when gym class dragged you outside and made you do ridiculous sports you would never again do in your life. I spent much of my school years trying to get out of gym or hiding in a corner. Made me what I am today.
So our delima is whether to go for easter dinner since it will be one day after our second shot. First world problems.
No much planned for today. Need to make up bank deposits and tackle the tax return for the gallery. Mostly a paper shuffle.
No clue why but after yesterday's shot I just wanted to nap all day. No arm pain to speak of.
We have started watching Big Little Lies. I like it but I don't think it has enough exploding aliens to suit DH. He is being a good sport. Finished Sherlock. Seems I have to find the good shows since DH would only find aliens if left to his own devices. He likes the new series "Debris". I think it is indeed a piece of debris.
DD did you guys get another killer snow storm? makes me nervous to think about all that snow driving even though I used to do it all the time. Stay warm.
Just realized I have not eaten at a restaurant with table service in a year!! Can't wait to do that.
And can't wait to hear of the adventures of the Goat. Safe travels Peps.
Cheers. Diane S
So glad you got your first! I sat next to a retired surgeon on the way back to Florida this week. He feels really good about the vaccine's efficacy.

Good Morning All
Start of the working week for me again - why do the weekends go by so fast
Had a nice weekend. Stayed at DSS Friday night - I worked my butt off. DIL has gone back to work 4-5 days a week and things at home are a bit of a mess. She went to work around 9.30am Saturday as her Childcare Centre was having a family day. I got the boys ready and followed around 10am. We stayed till 1pm - they had a ball. Pony rides, facepainting, balloon art etc etc - I posted 2 very tired boys into bed around 1.15pm Saturday and waited for DIL to come home while I cleaned. Did some groceries on the way home and jus****ched Netflix till the wee hours in bed. Slept in Sunday and just blobbed till the afternoon. Then I did some cooking. DH got home at 9pm from farm so I had made coleslaw and cooked up a salmon fillet- leftovers for lunch. Made a roast vegetable salad for tonight - Im doing dinner for 8 of us at DSS - Chicken Schnitzel, Roast Veg Salad, Potato Wedges and Garlic Bread. I also made a Curried Tuna Rice Slice for them for dinner Tuesday night - quick reheat. I then made a savoury mince - some for my mum and the freezer as well. I will bake it in the capsi**** we have from our garden to use it up - theres our dinner tommorrow night too. And I used up virtually all the veggies that needed made into something.
Liz - wishing you a wonderful birthday - your trip sounds lovely :)

Take care all

Key West looks as beautiful as I remember. The world is full of so many wonderful places.
We had a lovely weekend, but I'm tired after the spring forward. Yesterday we celebrated our son's girlfriend birthday with lots of Covid style fanfare including birthday decorations, brunch, dinner, gift giving, 2 cakes with candles and singing, hot tubbing and bonfire. I'm getting to the age though, where I prefer treating son/daughter to a nice dinner out, followed by cake and champagne at home.
Dear daughter just ordered us Thai food to be delivered. I'm not too good with Uber Eats etc. It's nice to have our own tech support department in the house.
The snow is all gone after rain and warm temps. But 90% chance of snow for tomorrow, a big snowstorm fueled by humid air coming from the gulf. South of us might get 7inches, we are on the northern edge and are expecting 1-3 inches. Should be very survivable :)
