I leave for the airport in 1/2 hour to return to Florida. By the end of the day I will receive my second Covid vaccine shot!
DS had a great birthday and loved the pullover I got him as well as the AeroGarden for him to grow herbs. We had a wonderful dinner out with DS, his two Moms, his two Aunts, and his best friend. I am so glad I came home for his birthday.
But I am really looking forward to seeing Mike later today and also to being warmer though the weather here has really been beautiful and mid-40's the last couple. Justice and I had a good beach walk yesterday.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

It is supposed to be a permanent arrangement. We had her 3 + years ago when she needed a home to have her pups. Then she went back to Thailand. Her owner was finished with her and was ready to place her. He knew we loved her so he offered her to us as he promised he would, if he ever wanted to place her. She's been living in a kennel in Thailand for the past 3 years, so even though we need another dog like we need the stomach flu, we took her. We didn't want her going somewhere unknown and possibly unreliable. She was flown in from Thailand to LA yesterday. I hired some friends to pick her up deliver her last night. I have a very well to do friend who is a Frenchie breeder and dog show benefactor (kind of like the Bill Cosby of the French Bulldog world) who paid for Lovey to fly back to the USA so that Lovey could live a nice life as a house dog in her golden years.
I need to kiss her!

Thinking of Liz as she flies back to her guy and to that all important 2nd dose of vaccine.
My lymphedema treatment is going well. A relief to start a treatment and not find complications. I won't need to wear a compression sleeve on my arm, but I will be getting a compression bra or cami to help keep the fluids moving out of my breast. I'm being fitted in about 2 weeks. Hmm, I don't mind wearing a compression cami, when I first got below 200lbs I wore one everyday for months. Now my insurance is going to pay to get me figured for a super duper one, not the worst thing in the world.
Crazy weather yesterday, tornado warnings in my county, as rotations were visible on radar. As far as I know, nothing ever actually touched down. There was thunder and hail. Meanwhile, there was a winter storm warning north of us, where it was snowing. I don't know if they got lightning and thunder, but sometimes that dies happen with spring snowstorms. It's kind of unnerving, like this is not right, but also kind of cool.
My son and his girlfriend are visiting this weekend. It's her birthday, and she asked if they could spend it with us, and she wants to cook. :) Works for me.
When the lymphedema in my right leg (previous DVTs) acts up and fluid builds, it can add up to ten pounds of weight ! The compression garments ( Rx down to over the counter) provide so much relief ! I'm glad you are working with a specialist.

Good Morning All, Popping in quickly to say hi. I have read the past few days but havent really had much of interest to post....
Heading over to DSS house tonight after work. Will pick up the boys from Child Care and will stay there overnight. They have asked me to go to their Family Day at Child Care tommorrow. I will then come home. Mum has asked me to join her for dinner if Im back in time - will play it by ear
Sunday I am hoping to get some planting done. Long overdue. DH will be home late Sunday as hes helping a mate move his herd of cattle on horseback Sat- Sun. Will be interesting to see how he pulls up after being back on a horse. Its been a long time.
So thats basically my weekend. Next week is shaping up to be reasonably busy so we shall see what happens. Heading to the farm from Wed - Sun so that will be nice. It may be one of the remaining few times I can do this mid week. My work situation is still unresolved and Im beyond frustrated. Anger is on a slow boil atm - not like me but seriously we are just waiting and waiting with nothing concrete - no letter of offer etc - not the new companies fault either - which makes it a 1000 times worse.
Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon/evening
I had best get back to it

Greetings all
A lazy day here (as opposed to all others) paying bills and counting hours until covid shot.
Liz you are too cute. excited to see your guy. Loved the DS birthday pictures on FB. I think I could tell who birth mom is.
Peps so cool you got Lovey. What a sweetie. And if you know of another Frenchie that becomes available, I have a good friend who used to have one and is retiring soon and wants a dog. Great guy. Also had an english bulldog and a pug. He is worried about trying to find a Frenchie on his own due to the overbreeding of them.
Time for me to go to the studio and be useful. Last nights chicken quesadillas were great. A little green chili sauce from a jar works wonder.
Cardiologist has told me to take my bp twice per day and record it. New wrist cuff says 94/62. I don't think so.
The other day at the grocery, the young(ish) checker called me "Sweetheart" about 5 times. I didn't say anything to her but having been one of very few female lawyers years ago and called Sweetie, Dolly, Honey and similar stuff by men lawyers, it really annoyed me. What is wrong with "ma'am"? Only DH gets to call me sweetheart and even on some days...
Cheers my sweeties

I mostly find that super patronizing (sometimes it's from a person who is genuinely one of those people who addresses everyone with endearments), and don't get me started on calling me "miss". I'm many years past "miss" and in those years I've gained a lot of hard earned wisdom.
Diane, I can't imagine all the stuff you had to put up with when you started your career.
