Weight: 153.2
When we got back from Florida my weight dropped like a brick (is that a saying? I'm making it one.) It was 158 last week and while I do have monthly fluctuation, this seemed too drastic. I felt so heavy and now feel dehydrated. Where is my real weight? I think maybe it is partially due to water weight and I know I'm chronically dehydrated. But boy I prefer this side of things! I actually eat so much better, naturally, when I'm lighter. Crazy?! I feel less hungry and I think it's all mental. I just don't feel the need to stuff my face. That feeling comes when I feel the restrictive diets of yesterday looming.
Florida was nice but honestly kinda chilly. How dare I say that coming from single-digit Oklahoma, right?! But in OK we had crackling fireplaces and sweaters. In Fort lauderdale we wore shorts while sand and wind sandblasted us during our 10 minutes trying to enjoy ocean. But we had some great food and enjoyed time with BIL and SIL. I will announce, however, that things are definitely open in south FL.
We have vaccine appointments next week! I'm slightly anxious not knowing long-term effects. Or maybe more importantly effectiveness (I mean insofar as our ability to transmit the virus/this vaccine maybe not being the "all clear"). I desperately want to believe that this is it. This is our ticket back to normal life. I so hope!!
It saddens me to think how close MIL was to the finish line. We've brought back all the toys that she bought for the babies, expecting us to come last March for a visit. But that never happened due to Covid, and now it never will. It hurts to think about. I feel such a great fire to live now. I feel the clock ticking. But it's been so hard to do in these times. I really hope things are improving rapidly in the first half of this year!! I know several of us have procured vaccine appointments. All of my older relatives have.

Weight 189.6. Still stuck.
Nothing much happening here. Yesterday I took 3 boxes to the Salvation Army, washed Ferg's beds, stuffed toys, leashes and collars to put away for the future or donate. I met with the stucco guy, but that was a bummer. He said to do it right, it'll be about $25k. I think I need to talk to a real estate agent to see if this is a real problem for selling or just the stucco guy being a perfectionist about stucco. It feels overwhelming, so I'm not going to think about it right now. Everything feels overwhelming.
Life is overwhelming when you are in mourning. Give it time

Down to 2 days here at Mike's until April (his place is rented for March). I have to admit that I will sorely miss being at what feels like a resort
I am very upset with my HOA. They apparently dropped having the landscapers rake leaves a few years ago but never explicitly told anyone. So now they are telling us we have to rake the lawn in front of our condos! No way! I bought a condo and not a house specifically so I didn't have exterior stuff to deal with. And some of the people want to set up teams to do it for the "old people". Forget that - I will hire someone first. Maybe it is time to sell...
Otherwise it is gorgeous weather here - the cool winds have subsided BB.
Have a safe and healthy rest of your day!

Greetings All
I will try this post and keep it short in case OH tries to eat it. You guys are all having so much fun!! Florida is the place to be. Maybe sometime in my life I will go again. Enjoy.
Sunny but cold here. I made a brief trip out for a few groceries. Mainly to get some hamburger to entice our spoiled pets to eat. Too soon to know if there will be any puppies.
I spent most of this morning fooling around on the computer. There is a FB group relating to the small Nebraska town where my dad grew up. His family had at one time been well to do and had a big mansion. Its long gone (as is the wealth) but lots of people remember it. Anyway there were pictures of my great grand pa and it was fun to see them remembered. There is a library now where the mansion once stood and it has a room with stuff from our family. There were 10 kids in my grandfathers family.
Ok I will send this and do more if it does not fail.

I agree BB, it is open here! Just saw a party pontoon cruise go by, stuffed with people singing Don't Stop Believing. Not our scene, especially during Covid, but we're finding it easy to social distance.
We got here Tuesday and the weather has been awesome. But it does cool down at night. I did wear a light sweater to dinner last night. I'm always on the leading edge of, "It's chilly". I love patio dining for many reasons, but particularly during air conditioning season, because most restaurants are just too darn cold inside. I always bring a jacket or sweater to restaurants, movie theaters etc. I bring a little blanket on the airplane, always. I despise being cold even more than being hungry :)
DH and I were taking a selfie at dinner and someone later stopped by and said, you looked so cute taking your selfie, I thought you were on a first date, but then I saw your wedding rings. DH, ever irreverent said, "We are on our first date. We're married to other people".
Today was beachside lounging and a prosecco toast at sunset. I like this vacation. :)
LOVE DH's humor ! You are a lucky lady !

DH is quick with the come-back! I bet those people were talking about you afterwards.
Yes, it is all open here, but some restaurants are more spaced out than others and better at masking. One can easily avoid the more crowded situations. But a lot of older people have still been staying away from everybody and anything up until now. They are starting to emerge as they are vaccinated.
