I got more out of my session with the Dr. On Demand therapist than I did during the face to face therapy I did for five+ months prior to the pandemic shutting everything down! We totally connected and I feel heard and understood. Reading Unfu*k Yourself was a good, general quick read. It led me to Coffee and Self-Talk, by Kristen Helmsetter, which I highly recommend. It basically involves setting daily intentions through positive affirmations. Each day, with your first cup of coffee, you create, revise, read positive affirmations that can be general or specific to a particular need. This method of getting my head on straight works really well for me. As an example, one of my lists is around boundaries, and looks like this:
Boundaries
- I know how to take care of myself.
- I have identified my boundaries
- I clearly and directly communicate my boundaries
- I set boundaries I am willing to enforce
- I have the right and responsibility to enforce my boundaries.
- Conflict helps identify and clarify healthy boundaries.
Have a great day !!!

Excellent method of feeling in control and taking care of yourself!
We dropped DD at the airport at 6 am this morning (I have been awake since 4). Then I drove the 150 miles to Mikes place arriving at 8:45. We are here until Sunday. I need a rest from activity planning with DD. Mike has the next few days planned. He enjoys having a plan and I am getting so I count on it when we are here. The good thing is that he isn't totally adamant about it so I can revise as needed. But truly not having to be the one on deck figuring out everything has really been a joy.
Mike just heard from his realtor that they have someone interested in renting his place for 3 months next year for a LOT of money, as in more than my total mortgage and expenses on my Florida place for an entire year. Yikes! But we don't know what our relationship will be at that point!!!! If I am living with him, I would probably rent my place out. But I could only get about 1/3 of what he would get and it would most certainly include the same months. So where would we go? Maybe a cheaper rental in a different location for the experience?
Complications...
Have a safe and healthy day!

The stucco guy is coming back today to give me an estimate on fixing any cracks I can't see from the ground before I paint the house.
We have very dry high winds today. They make me so cranky!
I should go get dressed before I'm forced to greet the stucco guy in my jammies...
Luckily, I awakened feeling pretty darn well! The icky "I"m getting sick" feeling had gone and even my very sore arm feels like I had any old flu shot. I was still feeling a tad "slow" though this morning. As the morning goes on I am feeling more and more like my normal self.
BTW, I had the Pfizer vaccine. I read last night that people *****ceived the Pfizer vaccine had fewer and less severe reactions. Since everyone else here at school who got the vaccine yesterday (other than my grade level partner) had no reaction at all, I'm glad I got the Pfizer. Ron felt a bit sick with the Moderna and he didn't have Covid. I can only imagine how I would have felt with the Moderna. Speculation on my part, but I'm grateful for the 3 week gap nonetheless. That works so well with my travel schedule!
I have been on track with eating. NO CHOCOLATE all week. Sounds little, but for me not so much. I have daily access to it and the accessibility makes easier for me to cave to my compulsive nature.
Tried a Cali-flour pizza crust last night. I actually liked it very much. https://califlourfoods.com/collections/pizza-crusts We will make this a regular staple I think. Endless possibilities for different types of "pizzas". Will place an order for more tonight.
The outside temperature hit 71 degrees yesterday. Today the high is predicted to be 69. Pretty mild even for this area for February. LOVE IT, but I think we are going to be hard hit with drought again this year. Thank God we had that really good rain year 2 years back, otherwise we'd be in really big trouble. Now, too, with the fake lawn and new easy cleaning floors I don't mind the rain as much as I used to.
Et c'est ma vie!
Good Morning All
Didnt make it here yesterday as my start to the day was a shocker. We got up early - pre dawn to start mowing as the grass was insane with us being away for a month. Came in at 7am to start work and found my tablet was flat and I had left my charger at home. I couldnt believe it. It would have been 7 hour round trip to go to the city house and get it - lots of stress later, I was able to find a universal one in Albury (30 mins) away. Thankfully was back working by 11am. Only had to take a half days leave. Hectic balance of the day with quotes, orders etc.
We then headed into town. DH had a haircut, I collected some rat baits and then we both went to the fruit and Veg store, called into BIL & SIL to drop off some dried parsley I had done for them. Then we headed off to buy DH a new wallet. He lost his on the last day of his trip. Quick dinner then called into our farm neighbours (yet to build) City house - it was a lovely visit. Their children are just so gorgeous. Home to do chores and fell into bed.
Started at 6am as I want to finish at 2pm today. DSD and her partner are coming up for the weekend. Its her birthday and we have a super special weekend planned for her so I doubt I will make it here. Tonight is dinner at a lovely high end restuarant. Tommorrow I need to pick up a cake I had made for her as shes dairy intolerant then we will likely go exploring. Her partner is taking her to dinner Saturday night so DH and I will likely finish the mowing and spraying. Sunday is her birthday - we will go out again and then dinner at home. They leave Monday around lunchtime. I cant wait :) I have oranges boiling atm so I can make her an orange almond cake. Need to get the caravan all cleaned and their bed made.
I had best run - big to do list today after taking yesterday morning off
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and stay safe
Love to you all

Still having the best time ever. I got up before DH and had a nice cafe con leche on our patio. Breakfast at the hotel, some lounging, then an afternoon of kayaking. The kayak rental was pretty cool. The guy doing it has his trailer at a boat launch. You make reservations via tex****ch a you tube video about the nature reserve, and arrive at your scheduled time, pay, he gives you your kayak and a map, and off you go. The nature reserve is a closed system, so you can wander in the maze of mangrove, but every little tributary eventually deadends, so you'll eventually turn and make your way back. Once you're finished , you pull your kayak up on shore, text him, and you can leave. Sweet.
We had a lively, lovely meal in downtown St. Petersburg and it was so incredible and fun. Surely the last time we ate so well was sometime this summer.
Time for a nightcap on the patio. Tomorrow is another beach day.
I can feel the bliss ! Good for you !!
