For about 10 hours (beginning about 14 hours after my shot) I was way sicker than when I actually had Covid. I ached in every joint and muscle in my body, my head was killing me, I was hot but had chills at the same time. But I was recovered by the 24 hour point. NOT looking forward to shot 2, but it is worth it!

Did you have the Pfizer vaccine or the Moderna?

Moderna which I think has more side effects? Mike just had a super sore arm though and he had Covid at the same time I did. His arm soreness was way more extreme than mine and lasted longer. He was sicker when he had Covid - still mild but he had chest congestion and a cough where I just had what felt like a head cold and loss of smell/taste. They say each persons immune system is unique so the reaction (if any) is different.

Today started with breakfast by the pool, rented umbrella and lounges on the beach, finished a whole book, watched the sunset from our patio, then dinner on something called The Pier in downtown St. Petersburg. We also managed to get two tickets, one for going through the SunPass lane by accident, and a parking violation. Oh well. We can't just send the missed toll payment because it has to be handled through rental car company. Parking was silly, several cars were parked the same way, we thought huh, must be okay. In retrospect, probably a bunch of other tourists : ) We joked we should probably start putting traffic violations as a line item in our vacation budgets. Tomorrow we should probably just stay at the hotel or walk LOL. Had another great day. Felt so blissfully normal to be out and about at outdoor restaurants, something that just isn't very feasible in Minneapolis right now.
