Farewell dear Ferg. He is romping with all our other beloved friends who have moved on.
Is it really almost the end of February! I hope DD has a fantastic trip to Florida. The weather is going to be great where I am so hopefully for her too. And Devon, it sounds like you survived your first day in the classroom. I am positive that the kids are going to reap huge benefits from being there with you.
We made it to my neck of the woods yesterday, but after driving 3.5 hours on Sunday and 2.45 yesterday I need a break! Today Justice has an interview at a doggie daycare which I may use periodically. I like that they make sure the dogs are social before they take them. After that we are off to the beach for the afternoon. Irish pub tonight. I am going to need several days to recover after DD leaves.
Have a safe and healthy day!

Weight 190
Thank you all for your kindness over the last several days. Yesterday was terrible, but he won't hurt anymore and that is a blessing.
Yesterday was my 4 year surgiversary. Hard to believe that much time has passed. I weighed 189.6 which happens to be exactly what I weighed on that day one year ago. So despite the time in between being a crazy scale rollercoaster, I'm thrilled to be even at least on paper. Next year I hope to be less.
Today I have a endocrinologist telehealth appointment, but that's all. I've been distracting myself with the show, Justified, on Hulu. It's good. Or maybe I just have a big crush on Timothy Olyphant. I walked last night and will try to walk again today.
Hope you all have good days.
Good morning....
Yesterday was a nice change of pace. I really did enjoy the energy of my classroom filled with happy children. They have really missed school. We are doing a lot of writing/art projects to help them adjust to sitting for 2 hours straight. These projects are also helping them socialize, which they obviously and desperately need! I am very glad I bought them all new art supplies (felt pen, colored pencil, multi-cultural crayon, regular crayon sets for each kiddo), plus drafting pencil sharpeners, glue sticks and 2 oz cosmetic jars to hold pencil shavings. Money well invested.
Had a shrink session yesterday that was pretty productive. The frustration and angst I was feeling led me to a pretty good place. I am feeling comfortable with the understanding that I have to make some hard choices ahead of me. I have to critically evaluate the the value I place on instant gratification eating and high value foods. I also need to really understand the level of value I TRULY place on being thinner and the work it takes to lose weight. I am somewhat worried I may find that I truly don't place as much value on being smaller as I think I do. But then again, that's okay, if I can really live with that and be contented and happy. Hope that makes sense..... Kind of rambling.
The temporary moratorium on CHOCOLATE will be good for me. Though I am not a Catholic, I am joining Ron in observing Lent this year by abstaining from chocolate. I need the reset.
It will help.
Weight down a pound plus today.
Good Morning All, Not a great nights sleep - tossed n turned so feeling a little tired today. Another busy one. We are leaving to go to the farm tonight once we both finish work. I need to pack and remember lots of things - maybe why I didnt sleep well last night - mental lists are not always a good thing!
My stepdaughter and her partner are coming up to the farm Fri - Mon for her birthday. We are looking forward to spending quality time with them. I have her gifts all ready and we will eat out at a nice restuarant Fri night. Her partner is taking her out Saturday night for dinner and we will eat at home Sunday - likely homegrown steak etc
Thats really all I have for today - I had best get the washing all done and some work finished.
Have a wonderful afternoon/evening all and stay safe

Glorious day here in St. Petersburg. I wore quite the get up on the plane at the advice of a friend who is an infectious disease expert. I thought 2 masks and a shield was overkill until I got on the plane and saw a guy in front of me pull down his neck gaiter, pick his nose and flick it. Ughhhhh! Even though the flick was not in my direction, I still reflexively grabbed my Purell and doused myself. I did not remove my masks or shield until I was in the rental car.
We are staying at an older hotel, not super fancy, but we love it. We got a ground floor room with a patio that walks out directly to the beach. Nice pool, I enjoyed a swim after lunch. Tonight we had a simple dinner of cheese, salami, crackers, fruit salad and a premixed (from liquor store, DH added requisite cherries and orange peel) old fashioned that was actually pretty decent, followed by our Florida tradition: Publix Key Lime Pie. We sat on the patio dining, drinking, and watching the sun set. At one point I looked at my husband and said, I've missed you. And he said, what do you mean. I told him I'd missed vacation husband, but probably what I missed was how the two of us are together on vacation. However wonderful, our daughter has been in our house every night since March. I don't know that we've given each other this much undivided attention for awhile. I'm enjoying it. More fun tomorrow.
