Congrats on the weight drop - I think food that is different sometimes jogs ones body into dropping weight when you have been diligent most of the time.

Big news in my world, they've set a new date to return to in person learning, March 22. And instead of hybrid, it will be all students, all day, all week. Quite a switch. I'll get my 2nd vaccine the week before, so I'm feeling fine about it. It will be an adjustment, but we manage the shift from summer break, so this will be manageable too.
My BIL lives near San Antonio. What a mess! Yesterday he said they were getting 20 minutes of power every 4 hours. That's how they were keeping their phones charged. And they can't just get in the car and drive away, because more ice/rain was forecast. How ironic that we're sitting here in Minnesota, all cozy and warm in our house, and ice and snow turned the south into a survivalist story.
Above zero here at last. I haven't been outside, but wild critter activity has picked up in the backyard, and I hear some birds chirping.
Good Morning All
First day out of lockdown with minimal restrictions left in place. We can only have 5 visitors into our home so that canned our plans for a family dinner here when DH gets home on Saturday. The weather will be beautiful so we are all bringing something to share and meeting at the local Lake. There is a great playground for the boys and we can all just catch up - outdoors limits are 20 people so we are following the rules. We number 12 :) Im super excited.
Just work today, its looking like the changeover wont be possible on March 1st and likely have to push out to April 1st. Lets hope April Fools Day isnt an omen. I am feeling subtle pressure from my director re going across to the new company and its not pleasant but I am standing my ground and ready to negotiate - that is once we finally get a letter of offer etc.... I get that hes trying to get his ducks in a row but I need to do whats right for me and my family foremost ! He was trying to sound me out re the travel. If I went via train - it would be trains and take 1hr 45 min each way - meaning 3.5 hr travel each day - he was asking if that would bother me as I could just read a book etc - I was like YES as its 3.5 hrs plus the time to the train station that is out of my day and I have lots of things to do each morning and evening to care for my family esp my mum and seeing our grandkids.
My mum is coming over today. Good she can get out of the house. DS and I are going to Costco after I finish work to get DH birthday and Fathers Day gift/ I need his muscles as its a stand up tool chest and I expect weighs a lot.... Already have dinner organised - Salad from our garden and Roast Vegetable Fritatta (I took out from the freezer last night) Nice and easy.
Thats all I have - I had best go and get started. I have some complicated reporting to get out of the way first thing for my director
Take care all :)

I did 4 hours for a while (under 40 miles each away, but 2 hours each way either driving or by train). It was absolutely horrible and I lasted 6 months before I transferred departments/offices. Start work in the dark, get home in the dark. The life of a mole.
That kinda life isnt healthy Cec - Im glad you transferred. The longer this letter of offer takes to come the more resolved I become - oh and the more time I have to trawl the job ads for something closer to home
Something will come up - I just need to keep believing
And worst case Im home for a bit in between roles - imagine all the cooking and preserving I would get done not to mention the downsizing and cleaning out - ha ha ha
Something perfect will absolutely come. You know what your priorities are!
