We were very impressed by Walgreen's vaccine roll out organization and implementation, especially for Day #1 ! The actual vaccination process itself was seamless. Apparently, I made our appointments right as the app went live, and the site has crashed several times since. It would be difficult, if not impossible, for someone without a computer to navigate. One more step towards normalcy ! Our second shot is the day we leave for SC. We'll play driving by ear, and stop for the night early if need be. I'd rather fortify in the sunshine any day ! So far, no side effects to speak of. So far, highly recommend Unfu*k Yourself. A journaler, I find the corresponding Do the Work response prompts/ guide/workbook right down my alley.

it is good to hear that Walgreens is doing well with the vaccinations. Publix is giving more vaccinations than the counties here now and I was super impressed with their process.
Justice seems to be back to normal. Yesterday he couldn't do the normal walk and had to be carried home after vomiting. He slept in my lap all day, but then took a good length walk and ate his whole dinner. This morning he is quite lively. What a relief. Strange how chihuahuas can get intestinal distress with no change in food.
Last night I went out to a restaurant that Mike and I often frequent and met some new friends. Better than sitting alone eating cottage cheese and nut thins. Mike is on his way back from his son's now so we will drive to my place after lunch. Long drive, but it will be good to be back on my turf for a bit.
Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Diane, it eases my mind to hear that you are going fine after your 1st vaccine. I'm getting on a plane 24hours after my first shot, and I've been low key worrying about it.
My parents also got their vaccinations at a pharmacy. Pharmacies apparently rock at this. It was way easier using their system than the one my county put together. My bachelor uncle doesn't have internet, so we cousins offered to get him signed up with the system my parents used, but he said his clinic had called to tell him they would get him in when they have vaccine. Who knows when that will be, but he's more comfortable waiting for them. He's a bit of a recluse, so not in high danger of catching it from the community.
I managed to get Valentine presents shipped to our house without my daughter or husband knowing what I ordered. When you share an Amazon prime account, there are no secrets! I opened my own account and took the 30day free trial of Amazon prime, and even remembered to cancel the free trial when the packages arrived. I am winning at life. :)
Incredibly cold here, the high today is -5, and tomorrow, -13!!!! The windchill brings the feel down to -30 or so. I haven't been outside in days, and I'm not planning on going out there this weekend, except maybe to the trashcan in the garage.

No walk yesterday. I just haven't felt like it. I need to feel like it again!
Today we have an auction appraiser who was supposed to come to the house to do a walk through and give us an idea on price for the contents. He called to say he got an appointment for a vaccine so he wants to do it by facetime. A bummer because I'm not sure how well that will go, but it's something. There is another coming Wednesday. So I'm headed out there in a bit.
Have a good day and stay warm if you're someplace cold!
Greetings All
Congrats to all who have the vaccine. Who'd a thunk that getting a shot would be cause for celebration. Its good to hear that the big pharmacy chains are getting it out. We do have walgreens and CVS so that could help if the local hospital gets backed up.
We had sun today which is good. Hoping for it tomorrow when I work at the gallery which will mean people will show up.
I just made a run to the health food store but came home with mostly popcorn and wind. Not auspicious.
Not sure what we will do for entertainment now that the impeachment trial is over. It was sort of like watching house of cards only we were yelling at the tv. Time for Congress to do some covid help.
And speaking of covid, our studio did get its second PPP loan. Good news to keep the place going. Mainly for the sake of our director employee who has put years of her working life in there and would have a hard time finding work if we closed. But that ain't gonna happen.
Drive carefully you travelers. (I initially typed "dive"). No, don't do that.
If you are what you eat then I am one big pot pie. The health food store deli makes good ones and one is plenty for both of us.
Cheers. Diane S
