May today be a peaceful and historic day.
Not much time to say more. I had a really good day visiting my friend in Naples. What a beautiful area and home she lives in. She is still struggling mightily with the loss of her husband and having a hard time figuring out how to have a future outside of her group of couples as she doesn't want to always be the odd man out. But she is doing some volunteering, so I think she will meet other single friends over time. She is doing all the right things, putting one foot in front of the other even when she doesn't want to.
I am leaving in 5 minutes to walk, then will clean up, pack, and leave for Mike's. As always lately, I can't wait to see him.
Again, let today be a peaceful day for our country and each of us.

Weight up a pound. Probably having lunch with my friend. Eating out of my routine, even when I'm within my calories never goes well for me scale-wise.
We walked to the center in my neighborhood and got takeout and sat at some outside tables. Funny how that is allowed. It was wonderful to see her.
Such weird weather yesterday. High winds, brush fires, rain, and snow (in the mountains). More high, dry wind today.
Nothing on tap for today. Except now another cup of coffee sounds good...
I can't think much of politics today. Or weight, for that matter.
They are about to put my MIL on the vent. Lord, please don't let anything happen to her. Please let the healing medicine help her body to fight, let the vent give her body some rest and recovery. Please work aside the earthly miracle workers. Please spare us this year.
Praying for your MIL Bonnie.
