Explains how my friend's son didn't give it to either of his parents living with them. They gave it to one another 6 months later.

When we had Covid the contact tracer also told us to quarantine for 10 days after start of symptoms and fever free 24 hours. We never had a fever so just adhered to 10 days after symptom start. Luckily no one caught it from us.

Finished up work, it was a productive day, but mostly special ed paperwork. So it's good to cross items off the to do list, but not as rewarding as interacting with students.

All day I kept looking out the window at my bird feeders, but very few birds are feeding. I've had them up for 3 weeks, and I hear birds singing in the backyard. I think I have them in a too open area, so in a second here, I am going to go move them. Wow, 3rd day in a row I am actually going outside. Crazy and a little (maybe a lot) scary how I can succumb to hibernating.

Vaccines, I have no idea how they will fix this roll out. I cannot believe my 80 year old mother, missing part of her lung from cancer, on supplemental oxygen, should have to jump through hoops to get her vaccine. I assume I'll probably get one at a vaccination clinic in school, the same way I get my flu shot. But maybe I'm too optimistic that it will go well when my turn comes. My DH who has been working daily with the public since day 1, will probably be the last to be vaccinated. Why? Sometimes I feel very bitter about how people who can work from home go wander around the store where he works and tell him, I'm bored, so I thought I'd come here. To look at car batteries? Come in and get what you need, because yes, keeping your car running is essential, but my husband is not there to entertain you. Be considerate. Get in, get out. It's so stressful. End of rant. Must focus on people who are doing good things. They're out there too.

They knew for months that the vaccines were coming at some point. I just don't understand why there wasn't more collaboration to come up with a plan that would work with the proper priorities. They don't seem to be considering that some people, elderly or not, may not find it easy to use the computer. They do theoretically have phone backup but no one can get through with that either and when they do the appointments are gone. Which makes me go back to the thought of a pre-registration process. If I were to register and received a "priority number", even if it was a high number, I would feel better because I knew they would eventually get to that number.

My park was trying to do a clinic at our lodge later which most of us would have waited for but the county told the people trying to arrange it that it was highly unlikely to happen and recommended that we just deal with this ridiculous process.
