Weight 129.2. Whew! Back under my WW goal and back under 130. Still 6.2 over my preferred top end but at least my weight is going in the right direction. I had a hard time finding comfortable jeans to wear this weekend, so hopefully in a few more pounds I can get back into them. Of course by then it will be warmer, but my shorts will fit better too.
Nothing much else going on except planning strategy to get an appointment for the vaccine as I am eligible in Florida (healthcare workers and everyone over 65). The appointments fill up within minutes every time they are opened up so it is going to be a challenge. Though I could wait due to my post-Covid immunity, I'd prefer to get it before the eligibility broadens and there are even more people flooding the appointment systems.
BB, I hope R has a mild case? Has he lost taste/smell? That was the weirdest part for me and though at the time I felt like it was back in a couple of weeks, I realized after a month that both were very acute so it probably took that long to completely return.
Have a safe, healthy and civil day!
ETA: LOL - when I was writing this I realized it was 2021, not 2020. So then I noticed that all my posts since 1/1 have had 2020 in the subject so I went back and edited them.

Trending down- carb cravings continue to lessen and my ability to rationally consider before choosing....heck, it's good not feel so self-pressured and out of control. My sense of "hunger-got to eat all the time" is also back in its cage - starved of the simple carbs it needs to thrive. How many times must I relearn this lesson? How long before I realize that having gained the advantage (crawled out of the mud hole), to then assume I'm cured and jump back in? I cannot swim successfully in that muck- never could, never will, and it is Oh, so easy to become very stuck.
Liz, I recall a time when getting into a smaller size was not a matter of loosing a few pounds; at one time loosing 20#s or more didn't even matter regarding the size I wore. On the one hand wearing smaller sizes is good (only a few #s lost to move down)-but on the other hand just a few #s gained will cause a quick move up in size.
Off to church, one of the few places outside of grocery that I get out in public. Our church has been very good with the social distancing- everyone wearing masks and the pews are roped off to keep the 6 foot distancing. Visiting before and after service is discouraged and if it happens, takes place outside.
Enjoy the day. I'm thinking of all with smiles.
Oh, thank you, Shirl for sending me some of your go-get-er-done-juju. Football game ended, Swann woke up, jumped off my lap and requested a walk about and, shock of shocks, after returning, bathrooms were cleaned and mopped, rugs were vacuumed, and decor returned to spaces vacated for Christmas stuff.

Weight down the .2 it was up yesterday. Last week's weight loss appears to be a welcome fluke.
The pergola guys indeed did start and finish yesterday. Big job, but they were great. The only problem was, one gigantic beam gave them a lot trouble and they dropped it at one point from 9 feet or so up. It shook the house. I'm so glad it didn't land on one of them as it could have killed someone. Unfortunately, it did kill one of my brand new $200/each landscape lights that has only been in for 4 days. I haven't talked to the main guy yet (he wasn't one of the crew working), but I will mention it. They also trampled a bunch of small succulents, but they might recover, so I'm not worried about those.
Blessedly, nothing going on today and no one here. Enjoy your days everybody!
Be sure to document damage-photos, etc. If your contractor is licensed, he should be carrying insurance. Your homeowner's insurance may also need to be involved if contractor does not want to make things whole (including the charge to reinstall if necessary). IMO the contractor should take full responsibility - it isn't a matter of accident or negligence- it's just the right thing to do.
Still a beautiful hoar frost day. The weather will continue to be tolerable this week, then, the following week brings an artic blast with subzero days. Well, it is January in Minnesota. I don't really leave the house much anyway.
Finished reading the Sunday paper, now it's time to go gather some provisions.
Carb cravings: still thinking about whether I need to pull back on fruit. Very disappointing if that is driving my hunger, but if it is, I'll need to address it.
Hope we hear from a few tribe members who haven't checked in the last few days.

Liz-R has a somewhat mild case. He's very tired but I also think maybe men always "suffer" these things more! No loss of taste or smell. No real breathing troubles. Just very sluggish, feverish, terrible headache yesterday.
Quite cold here (for us). Beef burgundy fit the bill but boy was I tired after yesterday. I took the leap and made creme brulee because I had some cream leftover from Christmas needing to be used, had never used my kitchen torch, and it was a French meal. But what a bummer to find out the torch didn't come with the fuel. Doh. Enjoyed my dinner while watching the end of North by Northwest.
This morning we visited my parents since all of them have already had covid. I think we (minus R) are in the clear but are testing tomorrow.
Tonight is another soupy dinner. Maybe I will convince R to watch Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
