Not much happening today other than a possible beach walk with Justice if it isn't raining. Yesterday I spent some good time with friends at a local winery which has invested in tents and heaters. Very enjoyable catching up with them.

Today is the one year anniversary of Paul going on hospice. I never expected it at that point but I am glad it was the path we took.

Have a safe and healthy day!

Weight down 0.4 for the week, 23.4 overall. I wasn't thinking I would lose any this week, not because of what I was doing, but because the scale was not cooperating.

The tree has been decorated (pic at the end of yesterday's thread).

Today I am meeting my friends for distanced coffee and to say goodbye to my friend leaving for the UK. Should be a hard morning. Therapy later today.

Not much else going on. I should go get a quick shower and do dog eyedrops before I go!

I saw the tree pic, it is lovely. I hope it brings vs you a bit of Christmas joy each time you look at it.

Thinking of you as you say goodbye to your friend. When my Bff married and moved to Mexico, I recognized the emotion I was feeling: grief. Not being together, even if there are phones, what's app and airplanes is a loss. I hope you will be able to visit her once covid recedes.

I saw the signal flags gift. Very lively, so personal and so fitting. My experiences with Hospice have been very positive. You need a guide, it's an unknown journey.

My sil looked pretty good considering she had a chemo treatment on Monday. She's already lost too much weight. Her cancer is much more aggressive than mine, so her treatments are very aggressive too. The prognosis is good, but what she undergoing breaks my heart.

I have so much paperwork to do, but am so unmotivated. I want to start break tomorrow night with all these pieces off my plate, so I'd better get going.

Good Morning All

Popping in quickly again. After a lovely weekend of socialising but many late nights I got back to the city house around midnight Sunday. Monday morning brought the news that my directors father had passed away so I have been crazy busy since then. My heart breaks for them especially at this time of year. I have been working long hours to ensure all the projects get completed prior to Christmas shutdown and have decided to cancel my leave day on Wednesday. I was taking the day off as its my birthday but given the cir****tances, its just not important. DH and I can have lunch at home.

Have hair apt tonight after work - taking my mum and will go via my directors home to drop off a meal and a card on route. Then have to tackle Costco - dreading it with Mum in tow but at least it will be another thing off the evergrowing list !

I havent weighed and Im too scared too. There has been much eating with the socialising........ hmmmmmm

Liz - You are in my thoughts as you navigate your year of firsts. Its so hard. I love the flag gift from your friends. Very thoughtful

Cec - Hard to say goodbye to your friend but hopefully when all this COVID crap is done, you have a lovely place to go visit her. Your tree looks beautiful

DD - Good luck getting everything finished pre break. I can relate at present .... juggling like a clown

Peps - Loved the Christmas light pictures :) They made me smile

Miss150 - Your tree and swann look lovely :)

BB - The pictures of the girls in their matching outfits are super cute

Diane O - How are you doing with all that snow?

Diane S - Hello

Paula - Hope you are well

Well I had best keep going. Lots to achieve but first a second cup of tea is in order

Take care all

S

Sorry, double posted before. It was a gorgeous day at the harbor in Dana Point. You wouldn't know we had lockdown restrictions for the crowd and forbidden outdoor dining. But everyone was well separated and mostly masked except when eating.

I cried like a baby saying goodbye and half the way home, and again remembering now... I hate goodbyes!!!!

Glad you are letting the feelings out. It really is a loss when a dear friend moves half way round the world. Hoping you have many great visits ahead of you!

It is so hard to say goodbye, especially now when people are so isolated.
