So much for being on the edge of the snow storm ! !2" + and counting ! Will post a picture after sunrise ! Yes, put me in the ongoing struggle with disordered eating column too ! Two naturally thin people I know eat like birds. They both eat small portions 4-5 times per day. One makes a big deal of bento boxes of fruit, cheese, nuts, veggies, and then takes a few bites of each. The good thing is that our emergency brakes are being applied sooner and that we are building our repertoires of gears to shift into !!

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! (Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!

I SO LOVE that we all understand what goes through our minds and hearts driving us to eat - to cope, for fun, because something yummy is there sometimes.

I do think that in DH's family they still like food - DH certainly did. But he had no compulsion to have it when he wasn't truly hungry. You know all the books, etc. that tell us that we have to learn what it is like to be really hungry vs. just wanting to eat? Nice concept and sometimes I can tell the difference but it really doesn't help curb my desire to eat. Must be some of those naturally thin people thinking that it is the key to stopping our overeating.

And along those lines I am still at 129.6. Still under 130 but barely. I am going to zoom one of the new WW meetings today. They now have permanent virtual meetings but at a national level with a handful of leaders who only do those meetings. So I don't get to meet with my preferred local leader or see the people I used to at meetings anymore. I will give it a try but I really wish they had waited until the pandemic was ending to do this. At least one would have the option to go in person at that point.

BTW we ended up with very little snow on Cape Cod: Perhaps 2 inches of super wet snow and it is raining now. But I can't get Justice to go out even where I shoveled.

Have a safe, healthy and warm/dry day!

One of my aunt's who is naturally thin loves and enjoys food, but like your husband could, , reaches satiation, and stops. Unlike Diane s former co worker, my aunt never eats junk food, (she thinks Oreos are unpalatable) when she eats its high quality. Her style is what I try to emulate, eat smaller portions of high quality, whole foods. I try to make rules for myself like no pre packaged proceeded sweets, they're not worth the calories, but sometimes homemade or from a real bakery are. How to succeed at this game is a puzzle I'm still trying to solve.

I think we are all ahead of where we used to be in the "game". At bare minimum we understand ourselves and what drives us to eat better.

Ocean Diane, thank heavens for snowblowers and functioning furnaces! I saw your Facebook pic, it does look very winter wonderland there.

Weight up a bit.

Off to get my hair colored. I can't keep track of whether I'm breaking the rules or not. Regardless, she just had Covid and is well past the quarantine period, so I'm going.

I snuck up on myself and got some Christmas lights up outside last night. It took about 45 minutes and is more fun for the street. I think 4 houses don't have any lights, but 8 now do. My indoor tree is still bare of ornaments.

Yesterday I ran around getting Sees Candies and a box to send to one of my cousins and ordered a puzzle online for my other (puzzle mad) cousin. The line at UPS was insane. With everyone 6 feet apart it went around the corner. Shame on me for procrastinating!

I think that's it for me today... Hope you all have good ones! Diane, make a snowman for me!

I can't find Christmas lights to buy and a whole bunch of ours died this year. My prelit tree from Balsams is half dark and though we ordered lights from them two weeks ago they don't seem to be sending them. It is the tree we usually put our best ornaments on and it looks mostly dead. It really is bothering me especially since I don't seem to be able to do anything to fix it.

My tree is Balsam Hill too and I have one dead string. I have looked very closely and can't see how to undo it, so I just put a separate string over that part. I think because their trees are so expensive I keep putting off getting rid of it, but the plastic smell has gotten to be too much!

Mine is really pretty and I don't smell the plastic. My SIL is bringing over some lights to put into the dead parts so I can decorate it tomorrow. A small thing but I think it will help my spirits a little?

Good Morning All from our Happy Place - I drove up to the farm after work last night. So good to be back here !

Working with a view this morning. Planning to finish by 2.30pm and head into town to do a Christmas Break Grocery shop - will make it easier to have the pantry etc stocked for when all the family arrive after Christmas. Will clean out the fridges too.

Busy weekend. We have 2 Christmas catch ups - last one being Sunday which is DH Christmas one. I will then drive back to the city house. Hectic week coming up - juggling each day but I have decided to take a leave day next Wednesday for my birthday. DH will take me out to lunch - Im looking forward to that. Finish work for on 24/12 at around noon and I cant wait. Its been a very long year as Im sure you all would well and truely agree. Looking forward to putting 2020 behind us and moving into a much better 2021.

Didnt hear back re the second interview. I will follow up with a brief email today but not unexpected - they had a lot of applications. Will re-think things once we go back to work early January. Had a good chat with my director about how things are progressing etc - time will tell what the outcome is

All this talk of Snow :) I would love to experience it. We are getting temps around 30 degrees most days and lots of lovely sunshine

Well I had best run, it seems a lot of our clients have left hardware purchases till the very last minute and Im scrambling to get it all delivered to them prior to Christmas closure. Happens every year and I have long since ceased questioning WHY - just knuckle down and get it all done.

Have a wonderful evening all - and stay safe
