I gotta believe when you eat Campbell's soup and your splurge is a Little Debbie pastry, you don't actually even like food that much.My MIL, bless her memory, was very thin her whole life, even though the rest of her siblings were not. And she was a terrible cook. She cooked hamburgers and baked potatoes for dinner every week night, except lent, when she made fish sticks on Friday. If she had a piece of cake, she would mention how full she felt. I don't think that food "rang her bell". Tobacco was her passion, and unfortunately, it took her life much too soon.

I had a friend growing up who would forget to eat and ate a very limited range of food due to complete disinterest. It was like she couldn't identify with eating for pleasure. Her mom said even as a newborn she had to wake her up to make her eat. She was very thin, but it wasn't like an ED. I was fascinated and repelled simultaneously!
