Liz, I am so sorry to hear about your test results. I concur with the advice to obtain a finger oxygen monitor and a rescue inhaler. Yes, your MA PCP should be updated. On the positive side, the anti-bodies should protect you for at least six months. Sending positive thoughts that your symptoms don't get worse. How is DD faring ?

Our snow is already gone. DC decided that the wall between our dining room and living room should come down, and opened a test hole to confirm whether or not it is load bearing. Much sheetrock dust later, it IS load bearing and he now wants to patch the hole and forget about removing the wall. Ugh.

Good morning! I feel fairly well this morning. Still no fever and just head congestion. Last night I had a fair number of body aches but they are better this morning. Mike is slightly worse with some chest congestion and a cough but also no fever. Our taste buds were off last night but mine are better this morning with less congestion (I can taste my coffee - yeah). DD's course is similar to mine and she is starting to feel better. She had a fever Monday night but that is the only time.

Our biggest issues are boredom and taking Justice out. We took him for a short walk last night and this morning while it was dark so no one was out (with a mask on). Mid-day yesterday I just had him pee on the lawn next to my garage.

So that's all to report in Covid land. I did order a pulse oximeter and am contacting my doctor today. Thank you for the suggestions!

Stay safe, healthy and Covid free!

We just talked to a contact tracer here in Florida. She confirmed that we are out of quarantine on 12/9 if our symptoms are resolved by then.

Very interesting that Florida was right on top of this while my daughter who tested positive on Tuesday hasn't received a call yet. I thought Massachusetts would be more on top of it. So far with the efficiency of the testing and the follow-up call so quickly I feel like Florida is doing a good job.

Sigh. Deja vu this morning. Although nothing in the path of the wind above my house is left to burn. Today's fire is the acreage to the south of what burned a few weeks ago. The poor wild animals! And the stink in my house is as bad as last time. Gag. I so need to move.

Weight down 0.2. 0.2 a day would be nice!

Our lunch yesterday was lovely and we had such a nice time. But it does make one a hypochondriac afterwards as I wondered all night whether my sinuses were irritated from the bone dry wind and smoke or Covid. I'm thinking wind and smoke.

DianeO, your poor wall! I get wild ideas like that but thankfully lack the know how that would lead me to think poking a hole in the wall was a good idea. Sometimes we're saved by our limitations.

Liz hoping all three of you stay on the path back to good health.

Diane, I feel you about the wall. We've had a few projects that start out in a burst of inspiration and enthusiasm, only to end up being more work. Although not specifically walls. I'm always the one who wants to move a wall and DH tells me they're load bearing. We are the only people who own a house where every single wall is load bearing, even the ones he put up himself when he finished off the basement. Somehow the house stood without those walls for several years, but now they are holding up the roof.

Liz, it does sound like Florida is doing well with tracing and testing. It's relatively easy to get a salvia test here, but the results turn around is slow. I was just sent an invite to sign up for a GPS tracker that is supposed to notify you if you've been somewhere with a possible exposure. I know that's part of the success reducing infections in some other countries, but it does make me feel a little weird to think of downloading it.

Cecily, I must have a lot more allergies than I ever noticed before, because I am constantly thinking I might be coming down with Covid. Between dh, dd, and me, we've had 6 tests, all negative.

Today, during a one to one webex meeting, a student told me he is cutting. Scary. Students have shared stories like this before, but I wasn't talking to them with their camera off, in their home. I at least knew in person, they weren't hurting themselves at that moment, and I could get some nonverbal feedback about how they were doing. I asked him if was thinking about hurting himself, and he said not right now, but it could happen if he spiraled. He told me his parents knew, and he was starting therapy next week. Followed up with emails etc and the school social worker contacted his family also. We could support him so much more if we were doing in person school. Sigh.

Tomorrow is our daughter's birthday. Off to go buy a few things to decorate the dining room.

I am too! I'm thinking Catholic school guilt, hypochondria, and allergies I didn't realize I had are a bad combo.

Good Morning All

Popping in - been working since 5.45am and have achieved a ton :) Im planning on finishing at 2.15pm today so I can drive up to the farm. Cant wait to see all the babies :) 2 more to go and they are looking very fatigued as they waddle around the paddocks. Hoping its soon for them

Planning to get some planting done this weekend up there as its just DH and I. We have friends coming for dinner Sunday evening so I will work from the farm Monday before coming back to the city house. Our trees to commemorate Sydney arrived during the week.
