Last day of November! The year went by quickly in many ways. I am really looking forward to going home for a bit on the 15th but nervous about what the holidays will bring. I ordered gifts for 2 of my 3 children to be delivered at home and now just have to come up with something for DSD. I have identified gifts for my SIL's which I will pick up in the next day or 2 here. No other true gifts needed other than miscellaneous items for the kid's stockings. I so wish they didn't expect me to continue that but I know they do.
But in the meantime, today is food shopping and finding a notary. It is raining here now in preparation for a cold front arriving. It is supposed to get down in the 40's the next couple of nights. Generally that doesn't happen until January here, but usually the heat and humidity don't last as late as it did this year. Weird year all around.
Stay safe and healthy!

My kids want stockings too. Since everyone is working from home, some little office supplies are going into the stockings: novelty paper clips, a few nice pens, scotch tape ... Our son's girlfriend grew up in an extremely abusive/dysfunctional home. She has no contact with them. (Yes, I do have some concerns, but they appear to have a sweet, loving and functional connection. So far, so good). We are doing are very best to wrap her into our family. I am going to do my best to make her a stocking that resembles my kids. They are made from a quilting kit my mom bought 20 some years ago, so I can't make an identical one, but I can make one the same size, related color, and embroider her name on it.
The days start to blend into one another. The most excitement I seem to have is watching Netflix. Currently, I'm sitting in my online office, waiting to see if anybody will drop in for virtual office hours. No takers yet.
I've been up for 3 hours. So far I've eaten on plan and logged my foods. Hoping to continue the trend for the next 13 hours.

Weight down 0.2 for the week, 20.4 overall. So I've basically maintained for the last two weeks. That's okay by me with Thanksgiving and my struggle afterward to get back to a non-gorging mindset in there.
Boy, I almost had decided selling my old paperback books in lots on eBay was too much trouble. But I have bids on three lots totaling $82 so far and there are 5 days to go on the auctions! Holy smokes. I was going to donate them and Salvation Army sells them for 25 cents. Well on my way to another cleaning people visit paid for. If I can get more boxes, I have many more to list.
Today I take my car in for service. I've reserved a loaner so I don't have to wait for it there (even though they have a Starbucks inside, inside is a negative these days). I also have therapy later.
Liz, I hear you on gifts. My dad and his wife and I are skipping that this year, just stockings. My friends and I too. So it just leaves family gifts for my cousins and that's it. Funny that the anxiety is still there. Must be like residual "Sunday Anxiety" that sticks around long after retirement.
DD, love that you're thinking about your son's girlfriend and making sure she feels included and part of the family.
Well that is cool! I have never sold anything on eBay- who knew?

Good Morning All
Been working since 6.00am and just back from a Drs apt. Busy start to the day
Cant believe its the 1st December here already. I am organised re gifts and spent my time at mums yesterday wrapping all of hers. Everything is now boxed, bagged and tagged. Big job but its getting a bit beyond her now so I dont mind helping. Ive started on next years birthdays and have January and February covered. Will start on the rest of the year next month. We have a lot to buy for - big big family so its better for me if I spread it out.
Rest of today is just working then going to DSS - they are cooking tonight so it will be nice to have a night off. Im a bit cooked out
Love to you all
