Weight 129 (down .4). At least it moved in the correct direction?

Yesterday was a beautiful day at Siesta Beach. Sunny with puffy clouds, a light breeze, low humidity, 80 degrees. One of the days that reinforces why I am in Florida.

No plans for today yet. Maybe we will just hang around here.

DS is decorating back at my Cape Cod house. He got the wreaths and tabletop tree up but is having difficulty with the lights on the tall tree. Perhaps 6 calls from him yesterday? LOL!

And Pfizer officially requested emergency approval of the vaccine yesterday. It can't come too soon.

Stay safe and healthy today!

Liz, your son didn't take the job in Provincetown? Or did the job offer get rescinded because of Covid restrictions?

I've read the reviews about Siesta Keys, but haven't been there yet. Looks beautiful.

No exciting plans for this weekend, but then the options are pretty limited. Costco, grocery store for what I can't get at Costco, cleaning bathrooms, and hopefully, decorating.

A dear friend, (DH s best friend's father), started Hospice in his home this week. He has lived with Parkinson's disease for many years, pushing back against it's limitations with a mighty force. But the disease pushes harder, and he is at the stage where he lost his swallow reflex. His health directive says no feeding tubes etc. Hospice is keeping him comfortable, as his family gathers to say goodbye. Well drop off some food today or tomorrow. When they're are going to be people coming and going, I like to make up a care package with lots of smallish things that people can eat quickly, or might tempt a poor appetite, some candy, muffins, fruit, nuts, etc. We will miss our friend greatly. He is smart, funny, wise. A true patriarch of his family, and he invited us to be part of if. He frequently told us and our children, you are my chosen family. How lucky we are.

I'm very sorry about your friend, Diane.

So sorry Diane. Your friend was wise in setting his health directive and at least you all know what his wishes are.

DS turned down the Provincetown job for a bunch of reasons. Some valid, some perhaps less so. Oh well.

Too bad about the job refusal. P town is a great place for men his age to meet other like minded men his age. Or at least back in my day it was.

I know - he goes there with his friends in the summer but it is pretty dead in the winter. I'm really not entirely sure of his reasons for turning it down and he is a bit *****ly these days so I am not going to pry.

Weight down, but still up for the week so far. I'm sure this isn't how it works, but it feels like on weeks where I eat just one meal out (not large portions or any alcohol), my weight loss slows dramatically. Makes me not want to eat out.

I think I need to get the power washer out today and take care of some things in the back yard... And maybe a Thanksgiving bath for Ferg if my back can handle it. He's so dirty!

That's all I've got!
