Weight 156

But that should come off in a few days.

Busy productive day yesterday. I actually never made it out of the house. We've been doing a lot of household improvements aka spending actually feel pretty good about it. Normally I get stressed about that and back down but I'm forging ahead and doing the things we need to do. And if we're going to be locked in all winter, all the better. It's kind of like when people wait to fix up their home until they sell it To the extent that I can afford it, I want to do it now! We've also bought a new kitchen table (well, used to us, almost every piece in our house tells a "story"). I'll have to post pictures on TT later.

DR put together his weight bench yesterday only to find a rip on the leather seat. Thankfully they let us just return the seat rather than disassembling the whole thing. Childcare has still not returned to my gym so I think it's time to cancel. Idk if I'll use home gym equipment. But I like to think I will. So far we have adjustable weights and an adjustable bench. I think that will cover a lot of ground for weight training. I've really enjoyed walking outside with the girls but it's getting dark so early and colder. Peloton seems to be all the rage. Any of you on board with that? I still have PTSD from a cycle class so I just don't think I can. Treadmill is obvious solution but so large and I think we'd need a more expensive one to get the kind of cushion to where we'd use it. I've been looking at bowflex max or treadclimber. Kind of more like an elliptical but smaller. Gah. I just need to not. Maybe I'll try beachbody on demand. I think our primary need is to get heart rate up.

Actually, I'm amazed daily at how many steps I take chasing toddlers. I 100% chalk up my maintenance to that. I will have a day where I don't even go to the mailbox. I feel like I've been a sedentary slug. And I'll reach 8500 steps. Whereas when I was working I could work all day, go through the mall to eat lunch, and be right at about 4000.. It was nearly impossible to hit 10000 then, even with a formal walk on the treadmill. Crazy! But definitely says something about how to add activity!

Peps-I think that's a good idea. But make a different goal to occupy your time--you'll be very thankful for it in likely lockdown! Imo there is kind of a spectrum of childcare/schooling/social interaction. Obviously for my 1 year old, it's mostly about childcare and social interaction. Not only do I pay for it, it's called "mother's day out." On the other end of the spectrum I think highschoolers can benefit from virtual instruction. It might even be advantageous to get them "online" with this type of learning, instruction etc. as it's the wave of the future. But mostly I just refuse to think there is anything harder than 2 toddlers 14 months apart. Hehe. I guess that's the human plight: thinking things are hardest on you.

DS-My parents have been working on the PPP apps too. So much paperwork and maybe I overthink paperwork but I always feel like it's so tricky and how do people without a law degree complete it when I feel so overwhelmed?

Weight 127.2, not bad considering being out to eat last night, then doing night eating from 3-4:30 am.

I am feeling so sad today. It is Paul's birthday. I forgot how hard it was on Elise's first birthday after her death.

I think it may be coloring some of my feelings for Mike so I need to wait a while and assess where we are. We are on our way back to my place now and I am going to spend some time with a couple of friends this afternoon celebrating Paul.

DD was COVID exposed 8 days ago (she just found out yesterday). Luckily she feels fine so she is just going to quarantine for the remaining 6 days and will be done before she flies here for Thanksgiving.

Have a safe and healthy day!

That would be so understandable if the grief was coloring your feelings about your relationship with Mike. Thinking about you today!

Weight down what I was up yesterday.

Not much going on here. I sold a pasta roller machine for my friend who is moving back to the UK for $50. So that was fun! I might try to list a few more things today.

I think one of my neighbors made cinnamon rolls this morning. The smell is torture! Ah, the hazards of houses built too close together.

BB, my cousin has a Peloton and they love it. I guess you can do all sorts of non-cycle exercise classes/instruction with it too. Personally, I do better with exercise when I'm forced to leave my house. The couch is too much of a draw when I exercise here. Hence, my treadmill and elliptical gathering dust.

Ooh, that reminds me. If I can figure out how to change the battery in my elliptical, I could try to sell that too. It lives in the garage because it's a professional model that was too big and heavy to get inside and up the stairs when I moved in.

Thinking of you today, Liz ! You are wise to stand back and assess when your emotions are not so close to the surface. BB, it sounds like the girls give you a run for the money. I have promised myself not to purchase any new equipment or memberships until I fully utilize what I already have and deem that it is not enough. Ceci, why do cinnamon buns have to smell so loud anyway ?! Peps, remote learning is no longer an option ? Would you consider free lance private remote instruction ? Diane, God bless DH..chocolate covered almonds ! OMG ! DD, hope you got lots of wonderful naps in this weekend ! Cool, windy and damp here... stuck inside. I'm going to clean the downstairs family room and converted sewing room. DC and I want to do a WiiFit bowling challenge and I want to revisit my WiiFit Fitness yoga option. I have a zillion Zumba CDs to try too ! Has anyone looked into Caleb Marshall online ? He is supposed to be the new age Richard Simmons.

He cracked me up, but I didn't really care that much for him as a young gay man. It wasn't until I was older that I appreciated that he lived true to who he was proudly and unapologetically.

I think some of his schtick was something many of us have used in our lives - poke fun at ourselves before others can do it. I appreciated what you said - he marched to his own drummer to hell with what people think. And I think he deeply cared about his fans.

I whole heartedly agree with you! He's good people.

Remote learning is an option, but the district is being far less kind about it than originally stated. Now it is only granted with a medical release. I am going to look into a medical release from my PCP tomorrow. I should qualify since I am statistically MO. We shall see. I'm also worried about being reassigned to a different grade level or even worse - new building upon reentry. I've been at my site for 27 years. I would like to stay for the next 4 years and be done. I don't want to have to adjust to a whole new community at this late point in my career.
