First gotta give a shout out to Ceci for engaging in a civil political view point dialogue with me yesterday! As, unsurprising as it is, our views are very similar overall. How pleasant to have a level headed discussion about the state of "things" - especially about some of the illogical expenditures of taxpayer money here (e.g. The Bullet Train! ugh...)!!

Weight was down a pound + today, but I'm guessing that is due mostly to the lack of hydration and eating that happened yesterday. I failed to put anything in my mouth until after 3 pm, which really is not the best thing to do. I also had just minimal amount of fluid yesterday. Maybe 16 oz of water, some coffee and one Coke Zero.

So wonderful to have Ocean Diane start us off today. Glad to see you back on the board after a couple days away.

Unfat. A new concept with which I am working. I like it because it is hard to define unfat. Defining thin, fit, athletic, etc... is pretty easy because we are inundated with media images that define those words. Unfat is completely undefined by the media, the public and the medical field. Unfat is open to interpretation. My unfat will be different from that of yours. Because it lacks definition, Unfat is individualistic in ideal. I have never allowed myself to be UNFAT. I have always pushed to be some version of my mental image of fit, thin or athletic or sexy. There has been no version of me that has ever been satisfactory when contrasted with the mental images I have that go with those words. It is small wonder that I have not been accepting of my body. I am hoping that my UNFAT campaign helps me embrace the changes that are uniquely mine and help me recognize the work I am doing on becoming my personal best.

I'm guessing that makes sense...

And thank you for asking the question and engaging! I actually really enjoyed it, which I can't say happens often lately with politics! And I found it such an enlightening exercise to write down what I believe in and what I don't. And we are really close which gave me lots of food for thought too - as far as how we can believe similar things and support different parties we think will match better what we believe.

Unfat is an interesting concept! As much as I would like to weigh less for aesthetic and clothing reasons, I don't feel fat right now. I feel more padded in places that I liked better less padded. It's a much more matter of fact way to look at myself rather than fraught with judgment.
