That I blew it attitude also makes me stop exercising! So backwards...

TOTALLY understand the "I blew it! Might as well go for the gold!" thinking. I'm quite proficient at it! That is a perfectionism quality, I'm told. If you can't be 100% PERFECT, you might as well be 100% IMPERFECT. Make way for da binge!

Ocean Diane, Snow, ugh. Good job keeping the candy from the dogs. One time our lab got into the left over Halloween candy. I called in sick, like I was sick. I had to confess to my teaching partner though, that I was home watching over my dog.

Dear daughter is in the kitchen, baking up a storm of spooky treats. 3 people are joining us for dinner tomorrow night, I hope they're hungry.

Still not sure about how we will do candy distribution tomorrow. Temp predicted to reach 50s, so maybe back to our original plan of bringing the fire pit to the driveway, and handing out candy from there. I've thought about bagging it up in treat bags, and then lining the bags up at the end of the driveway ....

We are fractions away from the infection rate that triggers distance learning for the H.S. Our county is probably already that high, but we won't get the new numbers (which will already be a week old****il next Thursday. But it's clear, unless there is suddenly a big turn around, it will happen eventually. Right now, we also have lots of people quarantining because of direct exposure to someone who was a positive diagnosis. One teacher started quarantine because his wife tested positive, (also a teacher, different building), and then got a contact trace call the same day that he had a direct exposure from a student who tested positive! As our superintendent said, besides the actual community numbers, our hybrid model starts to become unsustainable because of lack of healthy teachers, lack of subs, and so many students who have to quarantine whether they themselves are sick because of direct exposures.

Next week we start with workshop day, and in service day, all of which we can do from home if we wish. I will. I scheduled meetings right away in the morning to make sure I got up and at my tasks.

So after all the bad weather, it's going to be in the 60s next week. We'd like to try to go kayaking, but here's the complication, if we get on the water by 4pm, we'll have one hour before it's dark at 5pm. Would probably still be worth it.
