Ugh to the throwing up and other unpleasant side effects.

I liked this post, then unliked it. Kind of hard to like a post that involves throwing one's back out. I have spent almost 40 years dealing with back stuff. However, my troubles can be directly linked to a riding accident when I was 17 - at least that's what I link the trouble to!

Once you are healed enough to exercise, "core" work is good for helping to keep your back healthy. You might want to consider some yoga for back strength. There are specific yoga routines designed to help strengthen the back and "core". I think that type of strengthening is easier to do, than the type I do in a gym.

BTW - one of my worst back episodes I ever had was triggered by bending over to put on my socks when I was 24 years old! Worst. Pain. EVER! Enough to make me almost throw up.

Hope you are feeling better in a few days.

OMG - I hope it improves quickly. Back pain is the most debilitating- I don't think anything can be done without involving one's back.

Totally agree that you are different, as I am different than I was. We have all grown over the years. I'm glad I started the conversation. It's good for me to have the insight into the thinking of others. I was not thinking along the lines of what Ceci wrote, but it certainly does resonate with me because I have felt exactly those ways at differing times.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Greetings Nice People

All is well here. Just took a trip to Safeway - the thing I hate most - because I need a lot of stuff for the 5 people that are coming over on Halloween. I know I will have too much stuff. Oh well. Thanks to good timing the store was not too bad. Don't know why I have this loathing for grocery stores and other larger stores. Its not an agoraphobia thing. I am not afraid. Just hate it. But at least I avoided Costco.

Cecily glad your home is safe. The news reports were terrifying. The big fires up here are somewhat controlled now but never will be completely until it rains. Sorry for your back. Its easy to do and boy is it miserable. Renewing my recommendation of a chiropractor. I lifted bags of newspapers years ago and wrecked mine. Could barely walk. 3 visits fixed me up.

I sure hope everyone feels safe in this group. I know I do. But I have so few secrets its pathetic. I don't do much of anything worth concealing except eat chocolate..

Liz glad you are still having fun in Florida. I am sure you know to plan a little alone time like read a book or take a walk.

DH is trying valiantly to clear his junk out of the living room. So he decides it should go in this one closet and proceeds to empty that one out and spread it around the room. What is wrong with this picture?? Oh well, some stuff did go away. And I noticed the thrift store is taking stuff again.

My inner child is telling me to take a nap. Thats what I will do.

Later all. Diane S

Good Morning All

Sorry I didnt make it here yesterday - the day just ran away - finally sat down to dinner at 8.30pm last night

The picnic with our Grandbabies, DSS and his partner was wonderful. We laughed, we cuddled, I played on all the equipment with both boys (that was one of my dreams - to be a hands on active grandparent) And yes I even went down the big slide - getting the bend on my knee at the end was a challenge but I did it :) They have changed and grown so much since July - have posted pics on TT to share our precious little men with you.

Today is a pedicure and paraffin wax dip for my tired old feet - plus an eyebrow tidy. I cant wait. Then off to do errands for my mum. Dinner is an easy reheat so that will make a busy afternoon a little easier. Only one more day then DH and I have Monday and Tuesday off - so 4 days to get all the stuff done around the city house. The list is long........ but we will get there. Need to get it all sorted before he moves to the farm on the 6th Nov

Cec - I am so sorry to read about your back - sheesh you DID NOT need that on top of the week you are having - ENOUGH ALREADY !!!!! I hope you are a little more comfortable now. Hugs xxx

DD- I take Vit D, Vit C, Multivitamin, Folic Acid (for DVT condition)Hair and Nail and Fibre Tablet each day - though I am terrible at remembering. I find I need to take them with food else I feel sick

Liz - Good luck meeting Mikes Son

Well the washing has finished so I had best go get it hung out. Super tired today again ............

Love to you all
