Good morning all ! Ceci, all eyes and positive thoughts are on you ! We hope you and Fergs got some sleep, and that things are looking better for you and your friends & neighbors !! Liz, it has been a long time since you have had a contributing equal as a partner... I'd be worried if you didn't butt heads a bit. Shirl, your picnic sounds wonderful ! Glad you listened to your body and got some extra rest. Diane, funny you should mention lasagna... I've made it twice (with veggie noodles) this month, one time traditional and the second rolled up. That's become our go to for left over meatloaf. DD, loved your real connection moments with actual students ! Those genuine interactions make everything else worth it. Peps, are you and Ron on the same page regarding your virtual v. in person options ?

I noticed that autocorrect spelled border boarder on FB TT. I really AM literate. Mowed for the last time, rotated the lawn mower and snow blower from shed to garage, and scheduled chimney sweep for annual pellet stove inspection/cleaning. Diane, I thought of you when DC HAD to have a ventless 20,000 BTU propane heater for the garage. He is having trouble with ignition, and he finally listened to my insistence that we use a professional for all issues involving electric and/or gas.

Weight unknown but I had Mexican food for dinner sooooo

Diane O.-I can't remember if I commented on TT but what a sweet story! I hope my girls are as loving toward each other as yours are. That would break my heart they can't be together. Remind me of yours' age gap? Seems like it was also close like 17 months? I was very close with my younger sister until I got married. But now having children and hoping they are best of friends fuels my desire to remain close with my younger sister.

Liz-spending a lot of time with someone is hard. I wouldn't take it as an entirely bad sign yet. I can spend too much time with RICH! Or anyone, really. It's probably a good lesson to learn what makes each other tick, though. Anyone can put on a nice face for a few hours, I hope.

Ceci-yikes! Be safe! Wildfires are a lot worse this year, right?

Speaking of bad weather phenomena, we are in the middle of an ICE storm. Our weatherman just said it's the earliest in history that the national weather service in Norman, OK has issued a winter weather warning for Okc. It was a perfect storm of events. Temps remained right around 31 yesterday which kept it from snowing or even freezing rain, but was perfect to form a thick glazing of ice on tree limbs and power lines. Making matters worse is the unusual fact that trees haven't dropped their leaves yet (because this is super early for ice) so the poor trees were soooo heavy with ice. I'm quite sad because our best weekends for foliage are usually Halloween and weekend after. Anyway, my neighborhood has so many limbs down and I'll be interested to see the extent of damage in my yard this morning. We lost power at about 2:30 yesterday and it came back on around 12 hours later in the middle of the night. I'm very grateful for heat and electricity. It's one of those things you just don't realize quite how much of it you consume until it's gone. And I'm also thankful for the electric workers *****stored warmth to us so quickly!!

Yes, the girls are seventeen months apart and grew even closer after I divorced.

Crazy weather, though I remember that happening a couple of times in New England. There were more power outages than usual with ice because it adhered to the leaves still on the trees.

Good morning! I hope Cecily and Ferg still have a house. Definitely time to move elsewhere regardless IMHO.

Diane, you are exactly right which is why we have to give it time. Plus we are in his environment. It will be interesting to see what happens when we are at my place next week.

I ate on plan yesterday other than a few peanuts! It felt good to have some structure. Mike is a cook chicken, steak or fish on the grill with a simple vegetable kind of guy which will fit into my plan. I made my yogurt pie to have for dessert to keep myself out of the apple crisp.

Today is supposed to be the perfect beach day so we are packing a lunch. It is "my night" to cook so I may opt for taco Tuesday at Gloria Estafan's restaurant (cheating sort of), but I want to go out.

Have a safe, healthy and no fires day!

Hey all! Thanks for your well wishes. I still am not allowed to go home so I'm at my dad's house. We have two fires here. The one by my house and a second one that started later on the other side of the hills that are burning near me. The freeway which was still open to my dad's runs down a canyon where the other fire is burning. I have to say they are awe inspiring to see at night. But people get so mesmerized they are terrible drivers!!! Swerving, braking, one idiot hanging out the passenger window of a truck at 60 trying to take photos... Ugh.

Then I was thinking, where do 90,000 evacuated people go during Covid to sleep? They have shelters set up at all the park community centers, but still. I'm thankful to have my dad's house.

No weight today. No scale.

So just waiting on tap for today. Liz, I think everyone is right. That's a lot of togetherness and I wouldn't make any decisions based on it. I get cranky to be around after a long stretch with no alone time even when I love who I'm with. DianeO, love the story of your daughters! And good for you for drawing a line in the sand at electric and gas! BB, early ice storms! The world has gone crazy. Shirl, hope your picnic was wonderful! DianeS, I haven't tried the meal things, but have friends who enjoy them.

Have good days, all! Keep your fingers crossed for an end to the wind.

Ceci, glad you and Ferg are okay. Hope you are able to go home later today. That would be nice and knowing your home is safe would sure take a load off your worry!

Liz, I think fires and earthquakes are to Californians what tornados and hurricanes are to people in other parts of the country. Honestly, I'd rather deal with a major earthquake than a tornado or hurricane! Earthquakes can be scary, but they are over and done before you even realize what's going on sometimes!

As for too much togetherness.... IT'S A REAL THING! I love having a loving life partner, but I do need my alone time. It's important.

Shrink session yesterday. Was good I guess. I'm feeling like I'm over therapy-ed right now! I also understand that I am trying to ignore my progress to a certain degree because the progress I am making is upsetting the balance my eating disordered life has created. Interesting to be watching it play out in front of me.

I am realizing that so much in life is not really constant. Things come and go. People come and go and one's personal life continues to evolve. In that vein I am having to revamp some of my dog show routines. My dog show besties are now scattered across the country. I am feeling the loss of my dog show family. Because of that, I'm kind of changing my outlook on what i want to do this next year with shows and travel.

I decided to outfit GOAT with custom crates. I am removing the sofa (which is not super comfy by any stretch) and replacing that area with a dog set up. I will add a danish style modern recliner behind the passenger seat to make up for the loss of the sofa. It will look much like the photo below, but I will be using a brown finish to better match the rv decor. It will be much easier for me to hit the road with this set up and take all the dogs, if need be.

Going to end with this thought: I am missing discussions regarding weight challenges and successes. I realize that I am hesitant to post some of my daily musings about weight, eating etc... because we really spend very little time on the board discussing such things lately.

I know what you mean about weight stuff. Well, I need to weigh Thursday so my musings on what love/travel will do to one's weight and eating will be kicking in!

I feel you on being over-therapied! I get tired of talking about myself.

Here's some food stuff for you. I feel bad about myself when other people who I know also struggle with weight are doing well and I'm not doing well. So when I'm in a good place, I 1) don't want to make anyone else feel bad like I might feel and 2) know that any time I start to think l have it figured out, I fall off the rails and then feel embarrassed for ever feeling confident in my approach in the first place. So I try not to talk about it too much. Argh. This whole process is very humbling.
