We are in Vero Beach! Beautiful area and house. My place is in the low rent district compared to here.

It needs some decorating touches, but I am going to try and be careful not to overwhelm Mike. LOL! But he already mentioned the need for new patio cushions and an outdoor rug, plus pictures on the wall, so... Lots of brown with green and navy touches. Okay but more masculine than my taste, but I guess that isn't surprising. I will try to tread lightly.

If it clears here we may go to the beach for a bit, but will take a long walk this morning regardless, then do a bit of shopping (we did get food yesterday but need paper goods etc. today).

Have a safe, healthy and somewhat social day!

View from the lanai where we are drinking coffee (it is 75 and muggy right now):

Looks beautiful, Liz!

The scale was unexpectedly down again today! I thought yesterday was dehydration, but maybe it was just disappearing pre-TOM water retention. I'm back to what I weighed at the end of April, but in a horrifying look at the numbers, it'll be a while before I hit another "back to what I weighed on x date" because I apparently gained 16 pounds between March 16th and April 25th and never tracked during that time. It's the timeframe when I did most of my Covid damage. The state shut down at the end of March, so I can see that my stress was at it's highest. That's going to take a long time to undo. But I'll plug away at it.

We will only get to 70 today. Woohoo!

No plans other than I currently have an empty trash can. So I need to find 64 gallons of stuff to get out of here. I have some ideas of bulky things.

Wishing you all good days!

In the 70s? Sounds like paradise in either Florida or California. Why do I keep forgetting to move?

Not much happening here, it's a slow Sunday. DH works until 5pm. I need to go buy some Halloween treat bags. One of my bosses gave me some cash so I could put together a little something for the teachers in our department. I bought the candy yesterday at Costco.

First morning in days and days I have been able to be leisurely! Am loving it.

Not much new going on... surprise, surprise...NOT!

I have been enjoying hunkering down working on dogs. Though the grooming is very time consuming I am finding it therapeutic these days, rather than a chore. While I am doing a few clients each week, I am not minding too much. I think right now working with the dogs keeps me from thinking too much about the world outside my grooming shed. Covid and politics only exist when I allow them to in that cloistered world.

I had a binge episode on Friday with Kit Kats! LOL! It's not even one of my favorite candies, but it seemed to do. I ate 6, maybe 8, fun size Kit Kats. Total impulse. Knew exactly what I was doing, and boy was I aware of my thinking. Especially this thought: "Well, if I eat these last two, at least they will be gone and I won't have to deal with it anymore." Now, granted this Kit Kat splurge pales in comparison to a binge episode in the past, but still not having had a single real binge episode in 6 months this felt "big". However, here's the happy happy part. I didn't give a **** I didn't beat myself up. I didn't perseverate on it. I simply admitted what I had done. Took a good look at why, how I felt while doing it, went and had a good workout and decided I was done with it. Ta da... It ended. I can't remember a time when I could stop a binge that easily. So, something is working.

We are finally having a little fall weather. I wore a 3/4 zip fleece pullover last night to go out and pick up our late dinner. Yeah, I was wearing shorts and flip flops, but I did need the pullover! This morning the Pacific Marine Layer made it all the way in to my neck of the woods. Beautifully cool 65 degrees right now. Probably won't even hit 70 today, though that is the prediction. We'll see.

Sounds like Ron just got home from church so I shall sign off for now and get on with the day.

Flip flops! It's snowing lightly here. Heading out to the store soon. In tennis shoes. Don't need the boots today, as the snow is light and fluffy, and doesn't look like too much accumulation. Halloween, high of 50, so maybe this stuff will melt.

Good Morning All

Start of the working week for me and back at the city house. We are exhausted but got so much done at the farm over our allotted 72 hours to do Fire Prevention. Got all the mowing/slashing done, gutters cleaned out, all the wood around the containers moved down to the fenceline. We also spent time in DH workshop container sorting and tidying. His screws, nuts, nails etc are slowly getting organised into containers (that was while it was raining too heavily to be outside) We also got the side beams made and attached to two sides of the hay shed. DH needed my help to hold them etc - 2 person job. He will work on getting the sheets of tin on when he moves up in a fortnight and levelling the floor with dirt. SIL has a paddock of oats that will be cut and baled within next 2-3 weeks. So we need to move as basically will all be coming to our farm for storage. We will buy around 400 bales to stockpile feed but certainly dont need it at the moment. Its been an incrediable spring break. We have had to lock the cows down the back paddock but they are still super fat..... Our neighbour is waiting on us putting them into his paddock to strip feed but that will have to be after they have calved as any more extra weight will make birthing harder. Love my moowies and cant wait to see the calves arrive safely.

Been up since 5.30am cooking. My aunt had a bad fall during the week and my uncle has just been diagnosed with a form of Alzheimer's - shes really struggling to care for him and nurse her injuries. Im dropping off meals after an appointment this afternoon. Should help a little. We also are meeting DSS, his partner and our grandbabies in a park tommorrow night for a picnic - so Im preparing a feast. Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks, Sausages, rissoles, Coleslaw, Potato Salad with egg and bacon, green salad, dip and biscuits, kabana, Fruit platter and will make Vanilla Slice and pop a candle in a piece each so we can sing belated Happy Birthday to the boys as we missed both their birthdays. Also making extra Beef Schnitzel so I can send some home with mum for her dinner tommorrow night. DH and I put on 2 slow cookers overnight with Beef & Veg Stew - some for my Aunt and Uncle, some for my Mum and will freeze the rest.

So thats my day today - think I will be falling into bed tonight but love caring for those I adore. Completes me

I will try and go back and read up on what I missed out on shortly but best get some work done .......

Love to you all for a great Sunday
