I support your mom 100%! in 1997 when my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer women her age had the lowest survival rate and life expectancy average after diagnosis. She chose to do one round of chemo because she felt she had to at least try something. After the first round she decided it wasn't worth feeling that crappy to stay around for a few days, weeks or months more. She was dying. End of story. She knew it and was pissed as hell, but she wanted to enjoy what little time she had left and putting up with treatments that weren't going to change the end game made no sense to her. I could be very wrong, but it sounds like your mom has great clarity about what she wants out of her time. Hard for you, I'm sure, but wow, how great for her!

Hi, Tuesday it is... Just another boring day at the salt mines.... Actually, it was a little different, but I guess I'm in a routine and work feels pretty rhythmic. I'm adding some games to our morning meeting to stimulate the kids a bit, but it's tough for 8 year olds to maintain attention - even with a game or two thrown in - for 50 minutes on Zoom. But I'm trying to build stamina....

Food/eating... the journey continues. I guess that's about right. I'm pretty sure my journey is taking me on a bit of a gaining trend right now, but I'm not sure. The good thing is all my autumn, winter clothes all fit. So, I can't be much different from last year. All good.

Off to workout. Ciao!

Devon- 50 minutes + 8y/os + Zoom? Unless you are an animated video game in a clown suit who can blow hearts and stars out your ears, how in the world can you be expected to hold their attention for that period of time?!! God help your poor teacher's soul....

Luckily, it's the first session of the day. I don't have any sessions that last more than 30 minutes after that one. I have to say, they actually do pretty darn well. I also do a break down right before we sign off and I stay on for all the kids who need to "check in" (Uh... I didn't catch that last part. My sound was glitching...LOL) or actually need a little extra help. So, for those kids who can't maintain focus, they have a non threatening way to get clarification on assignments. Gotta be flexible in my Zoom Reality.
