Weight? I forgot to weigh...

My adventure with Mike and Justice begins in just over an hour. All is done other than making my bed when the laundry is done, eating breakfast and packing the car once Mike gets here.

All of the above on 3 hours of sleep. I was in bed long enough to get 8-9 hours but in my usual way before a trip my mind wouldn't settle down and let me sleep. You know that idea of counting to 100? Well, I never got to 100 because my mind would wander not because I fell asleep! Oh well, hard to change lifelong habits.

Yesterday I walked a couple of beaches with Justice and drove along the coastline (picture below). Friends had invited me to a winery then brewery but I just didn't want to feel compromised this morning (though maybe I would have slept ). Also I did a zoom with some of the RNY daily menu people. Fun - And they were mostly the same as I thought they would be!

First stop today is in Cape May NJ. It should take just over 6 hours driving time to get there. Pictures will be forthcoming.

Have a safe, healthy and social day!

I'm the same way with sleeping before trips! Lots of brain activity like list making, double checking, worrying...

That's great that you keep up with the daily menu people. I haven't looked at the regular boards in at least a year if not more.

After a nothing week last week weight loss wise and this whole week spent above my last week's weigh in, and poor bathroom performance, I actually work up with a big loss today! Well, big considering the above. I was down 1.6 this week and 13.8 overall. The last time I weighed this amount was May 26th. I'm whittling away the Covid pounds.

Yesterday was a great day for getting rid of stuff! I sold 2 things and gave away one thing on NextDoor so I'm up to $55. And I started with an empty trash can and managed to fill it to overflowing. I walked around with trash bags and really looked at my stuff. So many things I had just stopped seeing. But when you really stop to look and evaluate each thing separately, trash jumps out at you. I hit the "craft/junk" room hard. So many drawers and a closet full of things like partially cut fabrics from projects where I thought, maybe I can find a use for this left over thing someday, but those days never came. So out they went. Yay! It's all low hanging fruit with no emotional attachment. The emotionally charged or expensive things will be harder. I also found an old Kindle that won't charge anymore so it's going back to Amazon for a $5 credit. I guess that makes my trash takings $60.

Today is hair cut and color and therapy.

Liz, have a safe trip!

Popping in mid morning here - been a busy start. Hand therapy done and they are happy with my healing and progress

Tax information emailed off to the accountant. Fingers crossed I get a decent return

So just the rest of the working day to complete then I have to go run some errands for my mum. Dont know if my SIL is coming to stay - shes still in hospital. The spare room is all set up ready so its a wait and see what happens.

Thats really all our news.......

Liz - Hope you have a safe journey - look forward to seeing pics

Cec - well done on the weight loss and also the continued de-clutter. I need to take a leaf out of your book

DH is moving to the farm at the beginning of November - so maybe I will get a bit more time to sort things out in the evenings. Cant wait to meet our new calves :) And crossing fingers that they all arrive safely - three first time mummas

Love to you all

I am happy at school with the students and my co workers, but I hate the grind of unpacking my lunch stuff, washing it, repacking it, deciding what to wear, looking for my umbrella, etc. and leaving a bit early to make sure I'm there to walk in with the work to rule group.

Looking forward to my 4 day weekend.

Not a lot to say this evening, I guess I'm still worn out from the weekend's festivities. Time for bed. Hope everyone had a decent day.
