Weight 125. Better, but still 2 above my desired range. I need to get a gosh-darn routine and be back following WW better. Mike told me he has gained 15 since meeting me. Wow - I gained 3-4. I supposed he can drop weight somewhat faster though.
Yesterday we had a great celebration of SIL's birthday with just us 3 best sister friends. And she is going to be a grandmother in about 2.5 weeks, not 3.5 as was originally expected as they want to induce labor at that point if the little boy hasn't arrived on his own. The Mom is in her late 30's and the baby is quite large already so they don't want the pregnancy to go longer than that. So I am going to be a great-aunt soon!!!
4 days until we leave for Florida! It has come quickly. Mike is busily planning our travels. So nice not to have to be responsible for the main effort, just making some choices. We just got off the phone and he is calling me "Hon" these days. LOL! DH and I never used diminutives for each other so that is a bit unique for me.
Have a safe, healthy, active and social day!

Weight down a pound and a half from yesterday. Water weight indeed!
I observed yesterday, after a lot exercise the evening before, that I was RAVENOUS yesterday. That is such a thing for me. On one hand I physically am super hungry after exercise. On the other hand, I feel like I deserve to eat after burning a lot of calories. Tough combination when I recognize it, even tougher when I don't!
Took a short walk this morning with my friend with the bad knee. Very much a short stroll, but still nice to see her!
Today I have therapy and I need to keep trying to find a landscape contractor willing to do some work on my yard.
Have good days everyone!
Water weight or not - it is always good when it goes!

Hi all! Not sure when I posted last, but it feels like it's been a while....
It is conference week, so I have been occupied with both school work and conferences. Zoom conferences are GREAT!!! They take less time than face to face conferences. I like that. Even so, I was on Zoom Tuesday afternoon for a solid 3 hours talking to parents. That's a lot of Zooming! LOL! Sort of tiring.
Latest ah ha! was this: Food prep feels like dieting, not self care. Have to really work on that and see how I can turn it around. I realize that except for the first 5 or 6 years, food has been an issue in some form or another my entire life. Prepping, logging, and tracking food is strongly associated with dieting phases of my life - not ordinary, everyday, packing on the pounds or maintaining eating.
I am back in my pattern of too little sleep. Have to get back on track with that, too.
Positives: 1) Workouts remain wonderful, challenging and rewarding. I am perfectly sore from Tuesday's workout. Perhaps it's sick, but I do find a certain level of soreness very satisfying and rewarding. Today it's chest, abs, inner thigh and glutes that are complaining. Feels great! LOL! 2) I have been working on Lucky's coat getting him ready to show in November. He's looking quite handsome and enjoying the attention. The boy puppy, Blitz, was so jealous he tried to climb up on the table with Lucky! Blitz loves being on the table. At least one of my dogs does! Hahaha!
Liz, in my circles the weight gain you and Mike are experiencing is called Happy Fat or Honeymoon Fat - a joyful weight gain caused by much romancing and good food. Well worth a few pounds, if you ask me. You'll get those few pounds off pretty quickly. No worries there. Besides, having 3 pounds of happy weight beats the **** out of being at goal weight, lonely and sad. Just my perspective. I'm 100 pounds over what I was 9 years ago, but am actually more comfortable in my skin now than I was then. Go figure, right? Gotta be the therapy.
Ceci - exercise appetite. It's a real thing, but if you continue to exercise with regularity, the post exercise hunger will lessen. You will also find that if you eat certain types of food prior to exercise you will feel less hungry the next day. As gross as this may be to some people, a TBS of PB is the perfect pre work out food. Also, coffee before a workout is helpful to get the metabolism revved up prior to your hikes and along with the PB, you'll be amazed how much energy that produces for your body. Having that fuel available helps you not feel hungry later. Just an idea.
Happy Friday, Shirl! To the rest of us.... One more day until the work week is over! I can make it!
Good Morning All
TGIF ! Another working week ticked off in the never ending boredom of lockdown.......
Im only working till 1.30 today then off to see the Orth Surgeon. Knee is not behaving so I thought I should get him to check it out. Xray then consult so that should give a better idea of whats going on
I also need to grab some flowers on the way home so we can take to my SIL grave. We will leave for the farm at 5.30am tommorrow - early call for all chooks and dogs but they will forgive us once released into the freedom up there.
Apart from that its another day but thankfully the last of the working week - I likely wont make it on during the weekend. Want to support our BIL as much as possible
Love to you all

Greetings Friends
Not much new here. Smoke has mostly given way to fog which is normal here. There are still big fires inland but we are still safe.
Watched the VP debates last night. At least they behaved like grown ups. I regard it as a sign of old age that i find politics so entertaining.
Yay road trip Liz. That should be fun. Hope you got all your stuff in. Change of scenery will be nice.
Did some studio time today. I have made a couple of shot glasses that will be black with a lacy RBG collar. My tribute.
I am making chili tonight after days and days of prepared deli food. DH won't know what hit him!! And I have the home canned tomatoes to use.
Our county has been taken to a lower level of covid alert since the number of cases vs availability of care has somehow adjusted. Thats good but I fear people will start being stupid. Our gallery is on a town square and there used to always be trick or treating for kids around the stores. We always did it but its so disorganized I am not sure we should. But I won't be there on Halloween so I guess I don't care. I really don't care, do you??
Cecily I so admire you for tossing trash. I have so much I don't know where to start. Of course, most of it is DH stuff....
Shirley take care of that knee!! I bet your doctor tells you to slow down. You need to slow down and I need to speed up.
Cheers all. Diane S
