Weight 126.6. Yep, I was on "vacation" eating last week. Time to stop!

Today is SIL's 70th birthday. The other SIL and I are taking her out. My gift to her is a candle "club" where she will get 2 candles a month for 3 months and a figurine of a grandmother with her grandson (since we are just 3 weeks to the due date of her first grandchild).

Before that I am getting the oil changed on the car and going out to Mike's home for the mid-day. Seems so strange to be leaving for a Florida in 5 days with a man I didn't even know the last time I left there! Speaking of which, I measured my packing boxes and sent the dimensions to Mike and he wasn't horrified. He is a keeper!

Have a safe, healthy and social day!

Liz: Mike, I've got the total cubed feet number on those boxes...

Mike: No problem, sweetie. Bring'em on.

Yes, indeed Liz, the man's a keeper!

Weight up. Must be water retention after long walk and sodium. Maybe getting on my water consumption would be a good idea.

It was great to be back together with my two hiking friends! One has been in the UK all summer. I saw her the other day, but it's nice to all be together at the same time. We walked on the beach until my hip gave out (walking on the slant of the sand hurts after a while). I got my 10000 steps for the day.

No plans today, but I can always work on my house purging!

I'm happy to hear you've got your hiking friends back. I love the idea of hiking, why don't I get at it?

The beauty is, you can start easy! A short, flat one mile trail counts. Then work your way up...

Good Morning All

Much better sleep last night in spite of all the heavy rain. Poor veggies will be drowning up in their beds

Mums coming over after I finish work today - she wants me to make her fried rice with peking pork - Shes done the rice and will bring the pork as she had it in her freezer. I will cook up a huge batch and she can take it home for meals. I also made her some bacon n egg pie which is portioned up and in the fridge ready for her to take home.

Not a lot else happening today. Unfortunately we are going from 9 chooks down to 8. Our oldest girl has been not great for about 3 weeks now and its time. I hate seeing animals suffer. She has had a good life with us. My SIL is having a VSG done today - goes into surgery around 1.30pm - crossing fingers for her that it all goes well.

Saturday is 1 year since my other SIL passed. Its gone quick but slow if that makes sense. Spoke to my BIL the other day and we all ended up in tears. We will be at the farm Saturday so he will likely come over for dinner in the shed. Want to be there to support him but limited as to what we can do movement wise under the restrictions

I had best get some work done. Have a great evening all

Sorry for your loss as the 1st anniversary comes around. And good wishes that your SIL has a good surgery outcome.
