One of the houses my son lived in has burned down. So sad.

Really sad!

I'll ease back in with a short post. Today was my sixth annual post-bariatric surgery follow-up visit. I did it via telephone with my surgeon's nurse practitioner who is super-knowledgeable about all things bariatric.

Her prognosis is that, other than the quarantine regain (of which I've now lost 8.8 pounds--11 more to go), I'm doing very well. In a couple of months I'll do another blood test to make sure that a couple of "slightly low" test results are only temporary and caused by an antibiotic I was taking recently.

I've been busy this week finishing up reports for my CPA (my tax return is due October 15, extended from the postponed July 2020 filing date). Tax prep is about my least favorite activity of life.

This Friday I'll drive to Nashville for a long weekend with friends who are COVID-careful. I'm really looking forward to this get-together that isn't a funeral.

That's all I got. Nothing brilliant from me (others of y'all are posting very helpful insights lately!) and no metrics, which I've decided to stop bothering y'all with, although I still measure everything. ;)

I am so glad you are going to Nashville to visit with friends. As most of us have found out, our social contacts are critical to our mental health.

Good Morning All - Another week almost done here..... Hoping one step closer to coming out of this lockdown.......

Not a lot happening - did grab a few things after work. Bought the grandbabies their Advent calendars as the shops have started putting out their Christmas stuff. My mum is coming over for a cuppa after I finish work. I am her "Social Bubble"person which means she is allowed to come here for a visit. We started this a few weeks ago as I wanted to try and get her out of the house but maintain her safety. Its working. Have some meals to send home with her - along with some homegrown turnips - will give her some of our mince and ask her to make her Mince recipe :) Will fill in an afternoon in this ongoing boredom I think

Cec - You are doing so well with getting the pounds off - well done. Oh and I watched Enola Holmes last night - really enjoyed it

BB - Its hard to make decisions to return to work but I think it would be good for you. A cup thats empty cant look after everyones thirst x The fish looked delicious.

Well I had best get back to it. My boss just emailed me to let me know hes decided to take the morning off so as to spend time with his grandkids. So Im holding the fort till our other engineer starts

Advent calendars! This year is such a blur.

I would normally sigh at the sight of christmas decorations coming into the stores so early but I see it as one step closer to kissing 2020 goodbye ! 2021 has got to be better !!

I sure hope 2021 is better!!!
