Today would have been my fathers 102 birthday (he died at age 48). Devon is so right that "life counts NOW".
Mike and I are at a great hotel in a great city. The North End was bustling last night - with all the restaurant presence outside there was barely room for cars to get through. You wouldn't know it was a pandemic except for the masks. We have a late checkout at 2, so we are going to walk around the city some more before heading back to Cape Cod. Pictures from our room and our walk along the Charles River yesterday below:

Great pix and beautiful day, Liz.
But ... Mike was an FBI agent?! (Says the badge on his shirt.)

Yes we are super compatible in background and planning and a lot of other things. I will worry for a while about rushing into a relationship but when I am with Mike we are always on the same page.

The weather in Boston looks gorgeous. It took a fierce turn here last night, and is making me think I need to dig up my basil and replant it for indoor living, or tell it goodbye soon.
I ordered some fancy chai teas when I was placing the order for my regular every day chai. (I use Twinings). It is as I feared, REALLY delicious. My morning cup may have just jumped in price.
Yesterday we had the geriatric cat trimmed of his mats by a groomer that comes to the house in a van. Reduces the trauma of being stuffed in the carrier and transported, but now kitty understands why people are afraid of white abduction vans. It had a window, so we could see him being trimmed, at what point he made eye contact with us and gave us a hysterical WTF look!
Not much planned here. I will try to keep today low stress. No porch reading today. Much too cold and windy.
On the Kitty's WTF look!

Scale jumped more today. Not my fault, so I'll let it go and not worry.
I had a nice walk yesterday and didn't do a whole heck of a lot beyond that. I sawed an old yucky broom's and an old rake's handles in half to add to my trash. And hauled a very big, old window box planter into the trash from my second floor balcony. It was a nice idea, but it was heavy and wreaked havoc on the railing, which had to be rebuilt. But out of laziness, I left the planter on the balcony where it has sat for years. (You couldn't see it from inside or outside, so out of sight, out of mind. Plus the balcony is off a spare room that never gets used). I have the rest of the day to find more trash to get to full.
I finished Schitt's Creek (LOVED) and was sad until I saw the 6th season goes on Netflix in October. A nice surprise as I thought what I finished was it.
Okay, I've rambled enough. Enjoy your day everyone!
