Weight 122.8. Warranted as I ate like I was a person who could eat whatever they want yesterday... But I did walk 6 miles along the Cape Cod Canal!

I have the fireplace on heating the sunroom (Pic below), but am resisting turning the heat on in the rest of the house... The high yesterday was 60 and super windy with more of the same expected today. I don't know what I will do today. I feel like taking a drive somewhere but don't want to go alone. Mike is having shoulder issues causing him to lose sleep so he is laying low today.

I hope Shirl is getting some good quality sleep and recuperating from her accident.

Have a safe, healthy and social day!

6 mile hike on the Cape Cod Canal-sounds like a vacation destination to me- what a lovely sight to experience. Kurt, Swann and I took a trek around, over, through, underneath up and back through myriad rows of kansas corn stubble (Large fields harvested Friday directly north of the house). Scenic? Not exactly, but a seasonal change for the dog, who enjoyed it immensely.

Your fireplace welcomes all to the magic of Fall! (Now, tell me again, Cecily- on just what planet is California located that Fall is so disparaged?). Yes, yes- the gauntlet has been throw- Every year the question begs - How long can I hold out before I turn on the heat? The progression of the siege is familiar. Summer jammies out, winter jammies in. Then from cotton to flannel sheets. Then to quilts. Then to down comforters...Finally waking to frost on one's nose---concession. I learned well from my mother and set my goal as October 31. A badge of honor and bragging rights when and if accomplished. The older I get the more difficult it seems.

DS2 over for a visit today and DH in town helping Lions set up for the Fall Festival (which has been cancelled- however, the annual'bean feed" is still on. How that's being managed for social distancing I cannot imagine.)

Enjoy the day!

I caved and turned the regular heat on in the house for a bit because the temperature wouldn't rise above the mid-60's and I was chilly!

A world unto itself, Bonnie! Peps will have to speak to Fall in the north of CA. DianeS is lucky enough in her upper corner to have cool weather year round. Yesterday's debate for me when when was it cool enough outside to shut off the air conditioning (8:30pm it got down to 75). No sweater weather here. My friend jokes about having to crank the a/c on Thanksgiving here to simulate fall so one can wear a sweater.

I turned on the furnace a few weeks ago. I offer no apologies. I also used the heated seat in my car numerous times. I will be the 90 year old wearing a sweater at the 4th of July parade.

Our neighbors in MI used to wrap their 96 year old mother, Verna, up in an electric blanket on their beach in the 80 degree sunshine. The oldies can have a lot of trouble regulating their personal temps!

No apologies needed! Give your body all the warmth and soft comfort it requires- even more- desires!

Beautiful picture Liz!

The scale crept down a tiny bit this morning. I use a weight tracking app on my phone and have Used the same one since my original sleeve surgery. It's a rollercoaster of a graph, let me tell you. It also gives trend lines and date estimates for when you'll reach your goal. Regain really messes with their algorithm. I am currently expected to reach my goal weight on August 24, 2027. Or maybe it knows something I don't or knows me better than I know myself... Maybe it's an oracle.

85 will be the high today. So maybe a walk early?

While I am not ready to move any time soon, the daydreaming has got me thinking of the cleanup and clean-out that will need to happen prior to going on the market. I have way too much stuff. Perhaps coming up with a plan for getting "listing ready" is in order. If that task had a tracking app, I assume if it knew me it would set an estimate ready date of August 26, 2123...

Hope Shirley's finger has stopped bleeding without further intervention! And I hope you all have a good Sunday!

Yeah, cleaning out to sell can be a daunting task. Maybe I won't move to a condo next year...
