Weight 122.6. Hanging in range.
I had a great afternoon and evening with Mike. He liked the deconstructed pizza casserole I made so much that he asked for the recipe (LOL). It worked out well as I did all the prep in the morning so just had to bake it before dinner. In the afternoon we found the house Mike use to stay in with his family in the summer, took a long walk along the Cape Cod Canal, and had a drink and shrimp oceanside at the country club he has privileges at. Really great day! I am certainly not getting tired of being with him - definitely the opposite.
Today is family baby shower day. I washed and fixed up a basket with 13 sweaters my MIL had knit for my son. My 2 DDs and I are doing a joint gift of soft cute clothing from 3 months to one year, diapers, and a bunch of books. This is the first child in this generation so we are all just thrilled. It it is almost a 2 hour drive so it will be a long day.
Stay safe, healthy and social!

YES! The buttons have bunnies on them. She learned to knit from her Parisian Mother. MIL passed away in 2017 but she would be as thrilled as we are to have a great grandchild.

Scale bounced up a bit. It giveth and it taketh away...
Today I am going to see my best friend for lunch for the first tine since all of this mayhem began. He was the one who went full Howard Hughes on me. So glad to see he's loosening up. There is only so much a person can take before they say, enough, I need to see people. We all reach that point at different times.
I've been thinking more seriously about moving out of California. It's been on my mind for a while, but it's starting to feel more like something I need to do. I've been browsing houses in lots of states for a while, and am honing down what's important to me. This isn't going to be a fast decision, so I think when Ferg is gone, I will go to a few locations on my narrowed down list and get an airbnb for several weeks to see what it might be like to live there. I think Michigan will remain my summer spot as I don't think I could handle someplace that doesn't see really the sun from December to April.
One thing I know is true, I will really need to work to establish a support network wherever I go. I can't just expect to fit in right away and that's scary and hard for me to put myself out there, let alone do so alone. So there is work to do on that front even from a therapy standpoint.
Anyway, just floating that out there. I think my nearly 50 years of CA may be enough.
Ooh, have to run or I'll be late!
That is a huge idea to consider. Scary, but also exciting. Funny, last night my husband was showing me houses in St Augustine. I like the feel of that city, a lot of artsy people in the old downtown, and the esthetic is so my vibe. I suppose Minnesotans start thinking of other locations as winter draws near, and Californians dream of leaving during the hot dry season which sadly has become deadly fire season too.
WOW! I never considered moving somewhere where I didn't already have ties.
