I think people don't realize that those gender glitter smoke bomb shooters are potentially hazardous in regard to starting fires. You don't have to light the shooter to make it explode. The thing is like a cap gun on steroids.
Friends of mind recently used those for a gender reveal, but they did it in the parking lot of their condo complex with hose at the ready, just in case....
Happy Labor Day from the entry gates to the first level of Hell, otherwise known as California. We are still on fire. The sunlight is orange and there is a fine layer of ash even in the house in spite of my dusting efforts yesterday. The temp here in the shade today reached 108. The AC is working overtime. The dogs are lying about, oddly still, stretched on the cool floor. It's hot even for the pups. Truly, we are in the dog days of summer. 10 forecast predicts a cooling trend to the low 90s the rest of the week and then we'll stay that way until the following Friday.
I must be mad because I was doing housework in this heat and then decided I really did need to exercise and did a half hour workout on the elliptical. After being a hot sweaty mess, the house feels nice and cool, though. Maybe it was a good call to do my cardio after all!
Will grill burgers and have a salad to signal the close of summer. BFF will join us.
Food was a bit off Saturday and yesterday. Not way off, but fewer fruits and vegetables than I am used to and I could truly feel the difference in how I felt physically eating more processed foods than whole foods. Today I hit the fruit and nuts for brunch and feel much more like myself.
Am developing an awareness of how I like to eat throughout the day. I find it curious how my appetite changes as the day progresses. More on that later.
Time to think about getting dinner going.
