The weight bearing exercise and calcium are helpful, but unfortunately sometimes genetics still win. It is in my family too so ultimately I will also probably need medication. I know an RNY person who has the medication infusions (Reclast is one) because the meds are too tough on the stomach (like ibuprofen or aspirin).

Good Morning All
Hump Day here already - hoping the rest of the working week goes quickly. Our premier is announcing the roadmap out of restrictions on Sunday - Im hoping it contains good news about seeing our family
Weight - 177.54 down a bit from yesterday. I resisted the carb snacking I had been doing every evening last night and made good choices during the day. Seems it worked a little magic - who knew.... onwards and downwards hopefully.
Made my Dads Curried Sausages last night as I needed to use up some sausages that had defrosted during our power issues - go**** made me miss him heaps. I hope that once we get out of isolation I can take Mum to he and my sisters graves. We havent been able to go in 6 mths.
Diane O - I hear you re the self care. Some days I am tempted to just stay in my PJ's especially on the cold mornings.
Liz - The lobster sounds amazing - YUM! I love hearing about all your adventures - brings a smile to my face
Peps - You are such a dedicated teacher - your kids are so lucky to have you. Well done on the gym setup. I want some of your MOJO please.....
DD - You are brave You are strong and incrediably positive. You are doing so well - we are right here with you
Diane S - I think your Tesla has been busy. Thankful for you it wasnt an Aussie brown. Just ask my Kelpie Maggie how fun it is to wrestle with them! She brought a live Baby Brown Snake into the house in her mouth and dropped it at our feet - they are born ready to go with venom. Then came over and collapsed at my feet - emergency trip to the vet who then stayed up with her all night for observation - turns out she hadnt been bitten (I have no idea how!) but had ingested all the eggs so had a belly full of baby brown snakes! That dog is a true hunter and it wont end well for her living on a farm........
Cec - I loved reading about beautiful Ferg getting so much love from the kids. Hes a treasure
Miss, Leap, Ann & BB - Your voices are missed
Well I had best go and make another cup of tea and start work. We are expecting a storm and more high winds later this afternoon. Hoping the power stays....
Stay safe everyone
S
A belly full of snakes! Yuck!

Greetings All
No snakes today, thankfully. And no ill effects from the possible ingestion of snake head. I have had dogs eat all kinds of things including a tea bag. I saw that one so induced vomiting immediately. But Shirly your snake story is hair raising. Yuk!
DD sorry you have a case of hot boob. No fun. Hope you feel ok. Maybe you could put a bra in the freezer (ok sorry, I know thats not funny).
Diane M you are our cheerleader and spiritual leader. Always with a good thought. Self care is indeed important these days. And yeah, I have not cut my hair in months and DH rarely shaves now but I did cut his hair. He thinks its a great hair cut but he can't see the back tee hee.
My cooking has really gone down the dumper since covid. Just don't feel like it and the grocery store is such a hassle. So I get pot pies from the deli which are not healthy. Must make a better plan.
Well Tesla might have eaten a snake head but she won't eat a pill in a piece of cheese. The so called chewable pills are worthless.
Quick trip to the studio today. Not much going on. Dealt with our amended tax return thanks to DH's failure to give me all tax documents. GRRRRR.
More covid cases here. When will this end? I am grateful to not have to do my former job (or any other job) remotely. Making banana slugs out of clay is not too stressful.
Cheers Diane S
Cheers all.

Our dogs have all gone to snake school with the number of rattlesnakes around my dad's house. They do it for dogs and horses in his area. Basically they teach them to be be wary of the sight, sound, and smell of rattlers, which they have all demonstrated they are not at the start of their training. They use live muzzled snakes! I wouldn't want to be the muzzler...
Snake school? I never heard of such a thing!

Same with Justice and chewable pills. He eats the cheese around his chewable heart worm pill and spits it out. I have to trick him into thinking I am going to take it away so he ingests it without chewing. I am always afraid he will choke...

Damn scale! Up for the 6th day in a row. I appear to no longer be bound by the laws of thermodynamics. Now I just feel a perverse need to stick it out and see what happens.
I walked with my friend this morning, but not much else going on today. Ferg's been sleeping a lot and wasn't up for a walk. My sweet boy...
The governor moved the goalposts for how counties can reopen. So now hospitalizations and deaths no longer factor. Just positivity rate and case rate per 100k. We came off the watch list in the previous criteria, but the new criteria landed us back in the poop pile in the worst category. Supposedly we will drop to the next category in a week or two? I don't know. Who can keep track anymore. I can't even find myself caring to understand how the current criteria works because once I do, they'll just move the goalposts again. Bottom line, we're never getting out of jail until we have a working vaccine!
