I finished reading Circe today, a novel imagining the life of the sea nymph/witch from Greek Mythology. Interesting to revisit who gets labeled a witch, and why such women have been so frightening through the ages. I love the idea of growing more clever, wise, powerful as I age. I'll be a witch, as long as I can be a witch with foiled hair. And lipstick.
This evening I received the link to join our opening staff meeting tomorrow at 7:30 am. A few others are also on medical leave, everyone else will be meeting at school, masks in place. I'm happy to have this option to protect my health during radiation, but how I would also love to be able to see my colleagues in person. Soon enough I guess. Maybe. Who knows what this year is going to bring ...

Continuing to eat well, track, and walked again today. But the scale is not playing nice. Oh well. It was one of those mornings where when I woke up, I was one with the sheets. Perfect temp, comfy, no need to get up. It was perfection.
I never had to turn on the a/c today. It was gorgeous. Except on my walk, the breeze was fabulous and the temperature comfortable until... I had to turn around at the halfway point to walk back. Zero breeze and HOT. So weird the way that happens when you're walking! A light breeze in your face is heaven. At your back, it's imperceptible.
Ferg is having a good day. I don't think he felt very good yesterday. He just slept, didn't want a walk, didn't want to go out to potty. But he was cheerful again this morning. These fur babies know how to worry us! We walked today and he got petted by 6 kids (loved every second, he's such an amazing big dog ambassador) and met another dog for sniffs snd wags.
