Diane C., consider a positive side effect of your cancer treatment that you are not returning to school to face teaching in the reality of Covid19. I am beat. The mental exhaustion is unbelievable. I think it's best to just say that my planning time is more than doubled and I am becoming a jr. IT guy, which is a helluva stretch considering I'm pretty tech challenged compared to the young teachers.
I feel like one of my kiddos. I come home, have a healthy snack, vegetate in front of a screen for a while, then get my ass up and go play (elliptical workout), get some home work done, feed dogs, make dinner, start back to work while watching TV with Ron. What is frustrating for the teachers in my building is that we all believe admin has no clue what it is taking to get this done. They keep saying, "We've got this." We all silently reply, "No, you don't. I do! And there is nothing you are doing to really help any of us." There were tears today at my site. It makes me sad that teachers are straining at the end of their tethers and no one really wants to see it. Okay... I'm done on that subject....
Did my 27th Back to School Night for my site last night (albeit via Zoom). 4 more to go. LOL! Yes, I'm starting to count. If I could have retired and not dealt with the stress and strain of teaching during Covid, I would have.
Doing better on getting to bed earlier. That's a plus. I have been faithful to my elliptical trainer every day. 20 minutes of interval training, plus a cool down. Next week I will either add 5 minutes or up a level. I don't think I want to do both. Slow and steady.
Feeling a little more like my eating is in a place of awareness that I might actually start being able to focus on making some changes to lose a little more weight. Like Ceci, I feel like a broken record on this subject, so I thank you for your indulgence.
Lamb chops, salad and watermelon salad for dinner. Trying a new watermelon salad of my own invention. Not sure how it will be, but it's worth a try. LOL! Sweet yellow watermelon with strawberries, lemon juice and cilantro. I'll let you know if it's worth making.
Cheers

I'm so impressed by the massive effort you're putting in to teach your students, Peps, and can feel how much more work it requires than in class teaching. I hope your administration hears you all and that it gets somewhat easier with time and practice. But oh how sweet it will be when life can return to how it was before. Praying for that day.
I tell people about all the effort you are putting into your teaching all the time to illustrate how fantastic a teacher you are and also how much work is involved to teach remotely.
