Good Morning All
Start of the working week again. Thankful to be heading to the farm from Thursday till Sunday. Will be busy up there but Im always happier....
No weight - I have well and truely been comfort eating. Need to stop but havent. Thats for another day. I planned all our meals for the week and it will be entirely out of the freezer so I dont need to cook. We will take everything we need to the farm so we dont need to leave it. Lowers the risk to the region as we are coming from a hotspot
Have a roof guy coming at 9am this morning to give us a quote on spraying the colourbond roof. Its an olive green - likely very hip and happening when the house was build in 1980 - not so much now. We are looking to change it to the dark grey that the garage, gutters and surrounds are. Will be interesting to see how much it is. Will be a save up job whatever the outcome. Next project is getting drainage installed along the garden beds in the back and pushing the water down into the drains. The yard is looking like a swamp at present. Its all time and money but feels good to be fixing up the house a bit.
More work around the house on the weekend. I did some potting of plants. DH finished off the patch painting in the kitchen/dining area after the kitchen reno. Looks much better. He also did a lot of work on the back path and the pavers are half finished. Its looking wonderful. Hoping last nights heavy rain didnt ruin it. Should be our last day of heavy rain for the week - fingers crossed.
Well I had best go get dressed and make another cuppa. Oh and do some work
Take care all

Guess who's a bit sore in glutes and calves today from the elliptical? LOL!
Got up well before dawn today, so I chose not to weigh myself. Early morning was due to going with Auntie Kathryn to a barn hunt trial (her first). In a nut shell Barn Hunt is dogs hunting for rats safely encapsulated in indestructible tubes hidden in stacks of hay bales. They are timed, and depending on skill level, have to find 1, 2, or 3 hidden rats and not mistake empty tubes with tubes with live rats. All humane and lots of fun. Kathryn's dog got two qualifying scores and was honored with high score in trial for her division for the second run. Whoo hoo....
Love the new elliptical. Will go for another "run" tomorrow. It is truly a HUGE machine for home use and is quite the prominent feature in a 10x10 office space.
Air quality today is horrific. In my area today visibility was measured in yards, rather than miles. I understand that measurement when we have intense winter ground fog, but this is just bizarre.
Back to another week of online learning. Did I mention on Friday that my district sent out notification they are choosing to stay in a remote learning mode until the end of October and will reassess at that time? At least I know what to expect for the next two months.
Celebrated my dad's 91st b'day yesterday with an impromptu cookout. However, the air got so nasty, we chose to eat inside. My brother was clearly a bit uncomfortable about that, but we honored his want to sit apart and offered him a TV tray. His wife sat with us at the table, so he sat at the end, a good 6 feet from Ron and me and about 3 feet from my dad.
The newest member of our clan arrived a week early last night. May I introduce my great-nephew, Beau.....
Beautiful baby!!!
