I may be pushing it a tad, but my leg is ready for the water again ! Wearing the compression stocking is a chore, but does significantly speed healing. We keep our RV plugged into 30 amp outlet we had installed next to the pad, and continue to fine tune things. Yes, DD, we were ready to have it deemed a lemon and sell it, but it turns out that the lemon law covers just the Ford truck portions, not the house, everything else. All we really needed to do is transfer our extended warranty to a better dealer. We've found, as with cars, some dealerships excel in sales and fall short in service. Anyway, we have a large dog fence we set up at sites. We decided to try putting a split pool noodle on either end and butt the ends against the RV, so the dogs could benefit from the awning and come and go more freely. A & S love playing in this area in the yard while DC and I putter in and around the RV (he's still working on TV reception...have a new Verizon hotspot and tablet to add to our collection of equipment). We came out of the RV to see Atlas belly crawling UNDER the RV, to play with the dog next door. We now have added a garden boarder fence along the RV apron. I'll post a picture of the setup later, along with one of the completed deck.

Happy TGIF all !

So glad you can get into the water again. That is mentally healing!

SIL is having her bladder cancer removed this morning. The doctors seem to think this is a minor thing. I hope so!

I am going to have work for a tooth crown down today. Fun, fun... The kids are all here so I imagine we will do something this evening.

Yesterday my day with Mike was as wonderful as all the previous have been. Another 12 hour day. Biking, beaching, eating fantastic oysters and su****hen watching the sun set over the ocean. My butt hurts from the bike riding but it will heal. Oh and I met the ex-wife yesterday. Both daughters and grandchildren are down so she is spending time with them. We had a drink with her and all was quite nice.

Have a safe and healthy day!

Thanks Atlas for showing what you were up to/planning before everyone hit the road! Work around sounds successful. So glad you're back in the water. If you live up north, water time is too short anyhow. So glad you've found a way to keep SS and get all the features working for you. Very smart to practice at home so things go smoothly once you're on the road.

Liz, love the story unfolding between you and your beau. Hope SIL s surgery is uneventful.

Peps, I cannot imagine doing what you're doing, and I'm supposed to be a teacher!! I have LOVED my work, but if I could retire, I would. I feel like the career I loved is not coming back soon, and may never be the same before I retire in 3 years. Instead of a vocation, I now feel like I have a job. Maybe once I'm really back at it, I will feel differently, and there will be those moments of magic, when we are all suddenly learning together, both me and the students. I truly admire what you are doing for your students, how you are stepping up and meeting the challenge.

Yesterday our adopted niece, and daughter's life long friend spent the evening with us, outside. Comforting to know We can still hang out safely, at least while the weather is good.

Today, back to the radiation clinic for some more measurements etc. Actual first dose of radiation is next Tuesday.

My arm was twisted to post this on the menu thread, so I need to share with my Tribe! Here is Mike (not the best picture but not bad):

Greetings all

No excuse for a couple of day's absence. But I sure love hearing what ya'll are doing so I must do my part. We have been submerged in the DMC for the past few days. We are running out of TV. Watched all of Bosch. But we have never watched Downton Abbey - the series - so there is always that.

Liz, your guy is a hunk. So glad you are having fun and that his family is good with you. How could they not be? Yours will come around. Love all your activities and hope things go well for SIL.

DianeM glad you are water-ready! Enjoy. And check with Peps on dogs and the motor home. He is the expert. Dog show regulars have all kinds of dog set ups for traveling. Our dogs have been escape artists - we have had to pound lengths of rebar in the ground along the fence line to keep them from digging out.

Unseasonably hot here today. It must be horrid in so cal. Cecily I love your knitted chains! I could see doing different color combinations for the seasons. But lets hope this confinement ends before you have time to make those. Meanwhile we are lucky here to not have any fires or smoke, though they are going on inland. Power company is threatening rolling blackouts up here but so far its only a threat. My brother in Palm Springs has solar and a Tesla wall and normally puts power back on the grid but not right now.

DD best wishes for the radiation. I had some for a non cancerous condition some years ago. I had no side effects but then I wasn't really sick.

Not sure what's up for today. Studio or pool. Since its nearly 2 pm I'd better figure it out. In the meantime its laundry and coffee. Cheers all. Diane S

My original thought was a Christmas garland, but I didn't have the right colors!

At 10:30 this morning, it was 88 degrees with 72% humidity. I said to a friend, if it's going to be this hot and sticky, I expect Spanish moss and alligators... I guess it's the remains of Genevieve which we can also thank for the lightning that set the upper 2/3rds of the state on fire. No lightning here, just humid, so no close by fires. But in California, it's always someone's turn.

I had lunch with a friend today. It was a covered patio on a bit of a rise, so not awful and there was a slight breeze. It was good to see her! We talked about her teenage grandkids. One had a good friend commit suicide recently. She was 19. Her middle granddaughter is having severe panic attacks and depression. In so many ways, the prevention is worse than Covid.

As for me, still watching too much streamed tv and eating with some knitting and compulsive Amazon shopping mixed in. I am walking tomorrow with another friend. We have a set plan to walk twice a week together. Gives me something to look forward to and at least some movement.
