Weight 119.8. Still holding surprisingly at this low level with all the eating out. Amazing.
Another great day with Mike. Ten hours this time. His beach is amazingly beautiful. I met the adult kids, we had dinner outside at a nice place, then we watched the sunset over the beach. So funny - his best friend from childhood calls him every morning. He called an extra time yesterday so he could speak to me - I think I received a subtle warning to be kind to Mike... Mike is coming my way to my beach today (but then I won't see him probably until Monday).
Nothing much other than that. I have my weekly WW meeting this morning in 1/2 hour.
Have a safe, healthy and socially distanced but friendly day!

Liz You so deserve to be living this sweet story. I think it's another plus for Mike that he has a longtime, devoted friend. Speaks to the kind of person he is.
I'm going to start radiation on August 25. 20 sessions, so if all goes well, I should finish the last week of September. I also saw my surgeon, and she said my incision was sufficiently healed for swimming, and I could resume all activities I was comfortable with. Yeah! I'm still icing a couple of times a day, but feeling pretty good.
Woke up in Door County. Just finished the continental breakfast they deliver to the room in place of having the breakfast room open. Time to go have some fun!
So hopefully the end is in sight on when you will be done with treatment. So glad you have been cleared for swimming. Have a great time!

Good Morning All
Quick pop in - have a bit to get organised today with work etc then we are heading up to the farm YAY ! Its been over 3 weeks and we need to check on everything. Will be back Sunday
More progress in the backyard. Will continue next week but looking forward to seeing it finished. We will need to order more soil to level out the side that DH flattened. Then we will plant seed. Not an ideal time to be doing it but should go ok. Its nearly spring - thank goodness. This winter seems to have gone on forever!
Liz - so glad things are going well with Mike. As DD said it speaks volumes as to the kind of person he is if he is still in close contact with friends from his childhood.
Cec - Glad you got Fergs broken nail fixed. I think you are making the best choices for him. He is a beautiful boy - wish I could give him cuddles
Peps - Great news re no drops :) Hope you are feeling better every day
DD - Enjoy Door County - It looks lovely. A nice change of scenery before you start your next phase of treatment
Love to you all and Hi to those who follow
S
So glad you are getting to the farm. Spring coming already?

Dentist is done! I paid for the 2 year lapse in cleaning with a lot of scraping (and bleeding - thanks blood thinners). But it's finished and no cavities, receding gums, or failing fillings. They had me swish for a minute when I got there with a very mild bleach solution for covid reasons. Now I know how laundry feels. Yuck.
I have knitting tonight on zoom and had therapy earlier. I think my sweet spot is two obligations per day. Three is too much.
It's getting hot here. 93 today, 100 this weekend. But it's cloudy today due to the remnants of a broken up hurricane. But no rain for us. Maybe the mountains and deserts will get it.
That's my pathetic news for the day. Hope you all are having more fun than me!
Yeah for clean teeth and no work needed. I always seem to need a filling replaced or something. I had the filling done this Wednesday and a week from today he is fixing a chip and prepping for a crown. Yuck!

Sticking in the 266s for now. Who hoo...
Zoom shock today! I set up a classroom stage/set for Zoom instruction in my actual classroom today. Playing with Zoom to find out where to set the computer (distance away, height, angle, etc...) showed me 'stuff' about my body I would rather not see. This is going to be a bit of a challenge and great practice in self acceptance of who I am now. I could deal with the belly. It was the back fat roll/love levers that bothered me the most. I'm also thinking a mini facelift wouldn't hurt either! LOL! I have a resting scowl.... or as my friend Sheila likes to call it, "a resting ***** face".
Part of me is excited to get back to teaching. Starting school on line is going to be a bit of a stretch, but I'm up for it and ready now. My lessons are all planned and mapped out for next week. Mass emailing have been sent to student families and a personal letter was sent out to my new little one with anxiety. Needed to give him a heads up about the first day and one of the assignments so he could manage his emotions and front load to prepare. Yes, 8 year olds have anxiety. Sad, huh?
Liz.... smitten much? Don't thin I need to say anything else, except ENJOY IT!
Diane Ocean, how's the leg???? Please let us know you are okay (or not....).
Tomorrow is a free day. The last before school starts. I will, however, go to school for a little bit and do some more prep work. I like feeling overly prepared for the first several weeks. That way I don't have to worry about "stuff" and can concentrate on getting to know the kids and the dynamics of the classroom.
Like Ceci's weather, it's HOT! Will be over 100 here tomorrow. Possibly up to 107 on Saturday. Boooooooo! That's too hot for me.
Till next time!
I SO wish I had you for a teacher! Computer cameras aren't necessarily kind but I am positive that your animation when working will come through and you will look great.
Yes, smitten.
