Weight 120.2. Still doing okay with little snacking.

This morning is muggy and hot! I think I am taking Justice up by the harbor for a walk this morning as there will be a breeze there. In the meantime, I will talk to Mike when he calls after his morning beach walk. It is so cool that he likes the same things I do.

I have my first dermatologist skin check today. I am tan year round so I know they are going to read me the riot act. I just hope there isn't anything cooking right now.

Stay safe and healthy!

Ah yes, the skin check. I absolutely NEED to feel the sun on my skin, without the barrier of sunscreen. Whatever it is that unwinds in me, in the very core of me, needs the full spectrum of light. And I do think the color is nice, but I could get that from spray tans etc. The sun just feels so good. But I'm guessing as I wind my way through this cancer thing, someone is going to bring it up.

DH starts his August vacation today. Once a month he has a co.configuration of days off, Tuesday, and then a 3 day weekend. If he takes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off he gets 6 days in a row. So he does that in June, July, August and sometimes September. He works a lot of weekends, but he also has a lot of paid time off. About 35 days, I think.

I have 2 appointments in the morning tomorrow, one with the radiologist, and one with my surgeon. Then we leave for door county.

I love to check in with all you guys! My feelings about sun are similar to yours. Good luck at your appointments.

My 2nd weekly bouquet arrived and it's beautiful. Roses. Since roses are not super long lasting, I told my family we're bringing them to our motel tomorrow. :)

Good Morning

Popping in .... Have got colour "curing" in my hair and the washing on. Cup of tea in hand. Will be good to have the grey hair gone ! Miss my hairdresser and its always a lotto to see what colour my hair comes out when I pick from the supermarket shelves ha ha ha - as long as its not pink I will cope

We are now in our second week of Stage 4 lockdown and the numbers of cases are finally dropping - 322 and 321 past 2 days respectively. The deaths however are climbing and sadly will continue to do so. 19 yesterday in Victoria - mostly older people from the nursing homes. Breaks my heart. I was sad to read last night before going to sleep that NZ is going back into lockdown - after 103 days case free :( Auckland will be Stage 3 and the rest of NZ Stage 2. I really see no end to this until we can get a vaccine.

I ran the second lot of errands for my mum yesterday after work, stamps and put on her lotto. Then home to wrap all the presents for August - October birthdays. Good to feel organised as we have a huge September. It got me thinking...... This time last year - our second grandson was nearly here and DH and I were planning and organising the final stages of our month in the States. How things can totally change in 12 months - its sobering indeed... There will be no trips for a long time I think and that makes me sad

Today I have to take mums things over and strip/change her bedding - as she hasnt the strength in her hands to get the fitted sheets on now. Our cleaner normally does it but shes unable to work during lockdown. DH has a pot of apples on for his famous apple sauce. I will take her some to put in the freezer as I took her around some pork steaks the other day so she can make up some more meals for the freezer.

Looking forward to Friday as we are finally going to drive up to get on our cows - will stay till Sunday morning then head back to City house. DSD and her partner got the keys to their house late yesterday afternoon - she sent us a video of her opening the door - we called and she gave us a video tour as DH hasnt seen the house. We have bought them a microwave for a housewarming - so will sneak past and drop at the doorstep on the way back down on Sunday. They have moved out of the Stage 4 restriction area and into Stage 3 so its a little more relaxed.

Well thats about all my news - I had best go get motivated for work - being slack

Love to you all

S

I am glad things are improving there. It is so sad how many older people have been lost due to this virus.

It breaks my heart - what a horrible way for them to reach the end of their lives. A professor was saying on the news last night that figures show around 25% minimum of those elderly infected will pass. So devastating for both them and their families who are helpless to do anything and cant even be with them
