Weight 120.4, so still on the lower end. Yeah!
I had such a great time with Mike yesterday. We drove around all the gorgeous spots in my town (there are many). We had drinks at the local country club on the ocean because it is reciprocal with his, then dinner at a beautiful Italian restaurant on the water at another location. He called this morning and pointed out that we spent 8 hours together yesterday and it was all quality time. Never a lull in the conversation. We have so many similar goals at this point in life. He has a fundraiser off-Cape tomorrow but we are getting together for dinner on his way home as I am more or less between the bridge and where he lives.
Feeling a bit like a teenager about this, LOL.
Have a safe and healthy day!

Liz, living her best life amid a pandemic :) Sounds like an amazing evening.
My days are running together. It will be good to get away for a few days next week.
My brother and his wife took a little get away to Duluth, very popular destination, port city on Lake Superior. We're experienced Duluth visitors, as its my Dad's hometown. My brother said it was insanely packed with tourists, and they ended up just basically staying on their hotel deck, and then decided to cancel their next night and stay at our family compound about 50 miles away in the woods. We were initially going to take our get away in Duluth, glad we switched to Door County. It could be crowded too, but it's larger, more room to spread out.
Well more of the same today, reading, some light gardening ... I know one day when life is crazy, I will be craving downtime, so I will try to appreciate these slow days...
Thanks Diane, I am trying. I feel like our little group are a true group of survivors. Lots of strength individually but more together...

Good Morning All
Popping in after a huge weekend - we did a lot of work outside and our 50+ year old bodies are paying for it!!
Got 12 m3 of road base delivered on Friday as DH had finished the last of the retaining walls behind the garage. We worked on the side Friday night after work and got it finished but after shovelling 3 m3 by hand and how sore we were - I suggested hiring a mini digger. We picked it up Saturday and it was a blessing. All behind the garage is now filled and levelled with road base and packed down - up the side path and also we re-did the back path. Still need to lay the edging pavers. Our backyard was very uneven so when DH chewed it up with the digger on one side - I said we may as well take the opportunity to level it - so we have to spread some soil this week and plant new grass. It is a huge improvement but boy sure was a huge project to take on in a weekend. I have well and truely done my exercise this weekend...
Today is my mums 79th birthday. I purposely didnt do her grocery shopping and chemist run till today. I will pop down at lunchtime and collect her favourite Thai food. Then after work do her shopping and take it and all the food plus freezer meals to her. Im making her vanilla slice for her birthday cake. We bought her a beautiful watch and I have a nice top for her - wrapped up with her card. I sung her Happy Birthday when I spoke to her first thing. Trying hard to make her Iso birthday as special as I can

Hi Shirl, I noticed you hadn't posted for a bit. Glad to hear it was because you were busy as usual and not because you were not well.
Happy birthday to your Mom/Mum. My Mom is also turning 79, but not until the end of October. Having her at my age, 59, is a blessing. DH lost his Mom before his 30th birthday, and his Dad a few months before he turned 33. He has had my parents as in laws longer than he had his own parents.
You are always so busy! So great to hear what you are up to.

Aww thanks Liz - sometimes I dont feel I have much to contribute but post anyway.
I tend to keep pretty active with juggling 2 homes- hence when I spent 2 full days/evenings in bed last week - it shocks people as its very rare.... Better to be busy for me - mentally - just how Im wired
I can feel the joy in your posts - it makes me happy xxx
Thanks Shirl - just trying to live again you know?
