Sorry for the absence ! I have been focused on healing and a bit overwhelmed without my water activities as an outlet. The last time this happened, I ended up in the hospital for a week so I'm using the Medihoney, changing dressings and wearing my Rx compression stockings and the ulcerated area is healing. While in a sporting goods store looking for a lure with DC, I came across thigh high waders which I snatched up. They will get me back out on the water while keeping my calf dry and because they are single leg, my other leg will ge****er and air. Eating and maintaining my range have been under control and I know my positive outlook will be strengthened by resuming more activities on and off the water. I'll catch up on everyone's news and updates next.

Yeah for the thigh high waders! Great idea!
The lake is beautiful and as peaceful as always. I am listening to the birds all zipped up in my sweatshirt as it was only 55 here when I got up. It would be 70 if I were at home!
This morning I will take Justice for a long walk partly around the lake but first I need to get tanked up with my coffee.
The good thing about txting via dating apps is that one can stay anonymous for as long as they want (if careful). I am REALLY good at finding information about people online so once I get enough search points I can usually figure out who they are, where they live, who their relatives are, and what they did for work. I have ruled out some guys that way. And that's why I upgraded to a higher level site because there were too many losers on the original one. Mike was on the better site. I do fess up once I meet them about what I have figured out which sometimes creeps them out a bit, but so far they have been okay with it after I provide similar information about myself. It helps me weed through a bit plus makes me feel some level of security before I meet them (in a public place of course).
I spoke to Mike several times yesterday. I sent him the picture below which is the view from the lake house and he sent back a picture out his living room window. His window has a ship model in it that looked incredibly familiar, so I asked it if was the Endeavor. It is the same one I have in my living room window! Lots of similar interests... I think we are going kayaking on Saturday, then maybe out for lunch or dinner depending on timing.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Good morning. Thanks for checking in Diane M. I hear you on the need to get out on the water. I can't paddle yet, I was teasing DH may be I could tie my kayak to his and he could paddle for both of us.
Bonfire with friends last night was lovely. Coolish evening, light breeze, helped keep the bugs away. Lots of laughing, jokes, helps one forget about covid and cancer for awhile.
Not sure what today holds. Looks like a very nice a day weather wise.
Rent a double kayak and DH can paddle you around!

I had such a good visit with my friend yesterday (she's the one who's whole family had Covid in March). This year has my tears living about 3mm under the bottom of my eyes, so it take very little to slosh them over the top. I teared up when I saw her. We talked for almost 3 hours. Her mom who I love came over part way through to pick up her daughter. We were talking about Covid at a distance and I said I hadn't had a hug since February and big surprise teared up again. She said, I'm hugging you. I cried again, but harder. It was awesome. I miss them so much. My friend and I decided to walk on Tuesdays and we're going to plan a park meet up with her mom. Lordy, this year has left me such a mess. Way too much isolation. It's terrible for a solo person's mental health.
Day 3 of non-ostriching accomplished. I tracked, walked and weighed.
Today is the therapist (probably good for addressing my always at the ready tears). And the weather her is 10-15 degrees below normal, so my version of heaven. My walk today will be heat free!
Diane, your single wader sounds like an excellent solution to an unfair, crappy problem. Happy wading! Liz, enjoy your trip. DD, glad you enjoyed your bonfire.
Yes, way too much isolation for you! I am glad you will see your friend on a regular basis.
