Weight 121.4. Eating high plus wine...
It really is almost like there is no pandemic here. Though we ALL wear masks everything is open. SILs, DSD, 2 friends and I had a good time outdoors at the winery sipping wine and listening to music. Then we went out to eat at a pub type place which has set up a cute area in their parking lot. Though indoor dining is allowed at less than full capacity pretty much all restaurants have outdoor seating available and this time of year that is preferable. When it gets cool in the Fall it will be harder to be comfortable going out to eat. But for now it is wonderful.
Today DSD and I are probably going kayaking early then maybe floating around the pond in the heat.
However DS is feeling paranoid that he is sick so I may need to take him for a rapid test. He has always been a bit of a hypochondriac and this is about the 3rd time since the pandemic started that he has been convinced he has it. I doubt it but not 100%. Sigh...
Have a safe and healthy day!

I agree about indoor vs. outdoor dining. I feel fine eating outdoors on a breezy, well spaced patio. If things are similar, (or worse!)this fall, we'll be back to take out.
It was super hot yesterday, heat index of 105. Swimming was perfect. DH brought his bike and went for a long ride. He really wore himself out in the heat. DD and I read and swam.
The Covid testing site was quick and efficient. We stopped on the way home, and my daughter timed it. 3 minutes from when I left the car and returned. Results should show up tomorrow.
There is prosecco chilling in the fridge. I believe my daughter is planning on making us brunch. Cooler today, high in the 80s, lower humidity. Could be a nice way to pass some time on our deck.
Enjoy your brunch! Prosecco is good stuff!

DS is negative for Covid. Paying for the test out of pocket was worth it for piece of mind!

Greetings Friends
Another day of dull drivel here but its ok. I sure don't need excitement like I used to. First I butchered the tomato plants in hope of making them flower. I don't know why I bother with them as they don't do well in the cool climate.
Then I went to the swimming pool. I was person #6 in the pool so thats a full house. Felt fine and roomy. People left quickly and it was so fun to paddle around. We are indeed creatures of water.
DD glad you had a good swimming day pool and a fast covid test. I still don't get why some parts of the county have hours long waits. Should be a better way.
Liz glad your DS is negative. This world is a tough place to be a young person trying to get established. As a retiree I have a paid for home and income and can afford whatever inconveniences there are.
We have not been to a restaurant since the outbreak other than for take out. We just don't seem to think of it any more. I saw a place in the town that has put up chain link fencing around a few parking spaces for outdoor dining. Frankly it looks like dining in a kennel. Another restaurant has tents up which seems more welcoming.
Yesterday I was so warm and thirsty that I actually bought a cherry coke at the hardware store. Tasted great but I still have not consumed it all. Sleeve does not like carbonation still.
Take care all. Stay cool and safe.

Good Morning All
Popping in ..... Start of the working week and our Engineer is on leave this week. Im dreading it as my boss is less than focused of late. Makes it very challenging in a team of 3 !!!!
Food Porn warning ! Made an incrediable roast leg of Goat last night. Picked a different recipe - you made up a rub that had Basil, cumin powder, garlic, chilli flakes, oil, lemon, whiskey and brown sugar - then topped with whole cumin seeds.Scored the leg and rubbed it in - then cooked - basting numerous times till it was done. It was delicious. Very happy DH as Goat is one of his favourites. We have the same again tonight and 5 meals for the freezer.
DH is at the dentist for his first appointment to get a crown. Not looking forward to that bill but needs to be done. I have a skin check booked for this afternoon when I finish work. DH had his last week and had to get a couple of things removed - figured I should get checked as I havent been in years.
Not a lot to report. DH spent a lot of the weekend terracing and paving the back area which is now our vegetable patch. It looks great and will be a lot safer for clumsy me. I pottered in the garden cutting back plants and roses. Puppies also got a big wash and all their beds. They are currently snoozing inside as it was a cold start this morning
Not a lot to report - same ol same ol
Love to you all

I wrote up a long post earlier, hit one wrong button and it all disappeared. Grrr.
Sheets are washed (wish the sheet fairy would make the bed now), Ferg had his walk, I did some tidying, and watched Greyhound with Tom Hanks on Apple TV+. I find any movie he's in so darned comforting even if it's a tense WWII flick about U-boats hunting US convoys!
Food was not terrible. I bought some amazing nectarines at the market yesterday. I'll have to get more, they're delish.
I should probably go get the trash out while I'm thinking about it...
