Not good Cec - Over here they have deployed the army and all available police to set up road blocks and also guard the public housing in lockdown. Its being taken very seriously by our premier. I dont envy him having to make these calls - difficult times ! NSW's cases are now starting to increase too sadly
Some of our new clusters are in nursing homes which is just terrible. The poor residents :( In our shire we only have 2 active cases so are fairing pretty well - those numbers are staying stable. Most people are now wearing masks when out so that will also help. There are of course those "quality humans" who feel they are above the rules and think they can do whatever they like with little regard to the safety of others. Just leaves me shaking my head at the sheer stupidity of it all.
Stay safe my friend x
Nursing homes were a big problem in Massachusetts a while ago because unfortunately if one person caught it it spread like wildfire. Luckily that calmed down, but the death rate was extremely high. Luckily none of my caretaker friends family members were affected though it was in one of their nursing homes.

Greetings Friends
Hmmm, those warring twins live inside my head as well. I used to wake up in the morning thinking two thoughts "I hate being fat" and "What can I eat". Skiitzo. I guess there might be some people who do not have two "mini me" inside but I don't know any.
Yep, the governor just went back to more business closure for much of the state. We are in such a remote area that it does not apply to us. There are a few cases here each day but not zillions.
Which brings me to the good news: the pool is open!! Just found that out yesterday by calling - I didn't get the email I guess. So the pool is limited to 6 people at a time which is fine because there are 6 lap lanes. Guess it means no family swim hour - good for me but sad for kids. Locker rooms and showers are open as usual but some lockers closed off. Who cares. Now my main challenge is to figure out what to do if I have an inside lane since I can't get out of the pool without steps. Such issues.
Love hearing about all the paddling. Great summer activity. Hope everyone gets more in.
Everyone was out and about today. Lines everywhere and a single check out clerk on duty. I finally went to a dumpy store that no one likes. Why is it that some people thing they should carry on loud conversations from 50 feet apart in a store about who is coming over and what to buy. No one wants to hear it!. There was a lot of beer being sold today.
The studio had half a dozen cars there which is as many as I have seen in 3 months. Everyone well behaved.
Spent quite a while on the phone with the bank on gallery matters. Seems that there were two deposits at the end of last year that are just now being credited to our account. Seems it either didn't have a deposit ticket or it got lost in the night deposit mechanism. Very odd that it took months to surface. It didn't help that the person *****conciles the bank statements didn't do it for 4 months. Oh well.
Last of the costco lasagne tonight. Wonder why I have gained weight?

I feel you on steps v. ladder ! If you speak to the lifeguard, I'm sure you can work out a way to access the steps when it is time to leave. There are more and more people swimming laps in the lake here ! They attach a brightly colored ball to a foot, and a spotter or boater can see their path and progress. Having something attached to my foot would make me nuts !

Yeah on the pool! Supposedly the water doesn't spread covid so as long as you have space to get to the steps away from the other swimmers you should be okay.
