Greetings Fine Friends
I haven't been posting much because I do so friggin little its pathetic. Today is sheet washing day and I puttered in the yard a bit. Cut some sweet peas and took them to our new neighbors and made a socially distanced introduction. They are painting in there (former resident was a smoker) and they seem nice. Younger than us, but so are most people.
Great hydrangeas Liz. Our street is full of them now. When I was in the midwest they seemed so exotic but they are so common here. One of my ceramic arts buddies says they dump glaze water on the hydrangeas and they change color! Makes sense as I know you can put mineral compounds on them to do that. Ceramic glazes contain calcium carbonate as well as traces of copper or iron.
Shirley don't you hate people who won't observe the safety restrictions? Our cases around here are pretty much all due to bad actions. There is a small town store/tavern near here and the owner has a baseball bat to keep the rowdy people out who won't wear masks. Same kind of people who litter and wave confederate flags.
Lots of wind here. Hopefully blowing virus to infinity.
Cecily I hear you on the covid pounds. i have found quite a few. It annoys me to no end but I feel powerless. Whatever happened to all the VSG mojo I had for years. Covid has made me so sedentary.
So why are my tomato plants not getting any flowers?
You teachers, I feel your pain. What a conflict to have to face - risking ones health vs doing what kids need. Betsy DeVos was on CNN today. I was not impressed.
We watched Knives Out last night. Great show. And no exploding aliens.
Cheers. Diane S
Or the fact that high school students are not emotionally adults, but they do have adult size bodies that get Covid like adults, young adults, but adults all the same. Statistically, some them will get ill with lifelong complications, and some of them will die. But without some help, schools are not going to be able to do the things they need to reduce the danger...
