Good Morning All
We are back in lockdown for 6 weeks. After 191 cases and 147 yesterday - our premier but the whole of Metropolitan Melbourne and One Regional Shire into lockdown. I suspected it was coming..... made sense. We are only allowed to leave our homes for Groceries, education, work and exercise. There is a tiny window for caregiving on properties so we are hoping to be able to still go to the farm tonight after work. It will be touch and go through as to whether we get through and if pulled over risk a AUD $1652 fine each. UGGGG
I broke the rules yesterday and spent my normal Tuesday night with DSS and his family. I stayed the night as I took yesterday off work. DH drove the final leg of his journey home and I picked him up from the airport when he returned his hire car. We spent the rest of the day over at DSD with the grandbabies. My DIL had a huge sleep. I baked cookies with the eldest grandbaby - it made my day to see the joy on his face. We took the boys for a long walk and I made a huge 10.3lb roast leg of lamb with pockets of garlic and home grown rosemary. It was delicious. I left enough for them to cover tonights dinner and we brought home enough for us plus I will likely make the rest into a shepherds pie too. That will be the end of it for 6 weeks and it made my heart break watching Ashtons response when we told him that we cant come back for a while - explained the germs are back. He was very sad and I fought back tears. Will miss them both very much.
Cec - So sorry to read about your Dad - you are both in my thoughts x
Well I had best get my butt into gear - go see what "fun" awaits me after having yesterday off
Love to you all and stay safe

Greetings VSG Friends
I was thinking of my sleeve today at this medical test since over 10 years ago I had a similar test before vsg. In today's test they give you a drug to stress your heart and take pictures. Absolutely no caffeine for 24 hours before. Then after the test they make you eat CHOCOLATE because caffeine counteracts the drug. So i was forced to eat chocolate and drink a coke. Yep, coke is it. Always my favorite. I have not had more than about 3 in the last 10 years so it was so good. Doctors orders.
The test was a big nothing. IV drug, wait a bit, EKG then go sit in the car and eat a sandwich and drink the coke. Then take pictures. More of the same tomorrow but caffeine permitted. Thats about it.
So I have never liked sugar free soda. Just don't. Maybe I should try a coke zero and see if its better than diet coke. And Yeah I so remember Tab and Fresca. Tab was truly disgusting. Fresca not so bad. And remember they used to use an artificial sweetener that caused cancer? It was in diet RC cola which my college roomate was addicted to. We used to walk to the grocery store and carry back 8 packs of bottles that were returnable.
We watched a movie the other night called "Alpha". Story of a prehistoric young man and his wolf. I was prepared to hate it but it was good. Boy and dog story.
Yep, golden retrievers are probably the most huggable dogs. Though cairns are pretty good. I miss my cairns.
So I pretty much napped and stayed in bed all morning since I was allowed no coffee, no food and no water after 9 am. Couldn't figure out how to do that so I just slept through it.
BB the girls berry picking are so adorable! Makes me want to go to the blueberry farm here. Blackberries grow wild everywhere here and are actually a nuisance except when they are ripe! Also huckleberries and salmon berries.
I swear some people during this quarantine spend their time arguing on the internet. People at the studio want to argue about every little thing in great detail. Get a life!
Ok lets all tell our favorite books! A few of mine are The Good Earth, The Forgery of Venus, Gone Girl, Bingo. More later.

Too much time arguing - we need to hug more dogs and appreciate what we have vs. what we are missing. IMHO
